What a night! Wedu PBS premiered “Triumph: Tampa’s Untold Chapter in the Civil Rights Movement” at Tampa Theatre.

The documentary recounts the peaceful sit-ins of 1960 told through the stories of the high school students who participated. Many of the surviving studens attended. Their courage is unmatched.

The film builds on the play Stageworks Theatre commissioned about the event, which I was honored to help promote.

Now CBS news will highlight this story in an upcoming piece for “Sunday Morning.” I got to spend the evening helping their videographers tell this compelling story.

What a privilege to help United Way Suncoast launch Devan’s Book Club at Girls Inc Pinellas today!

Started in honor of longtime team member, Devan Endlich, each girl picked 2 books to call their own, complete with sticker and bookmark honoring our favorite Ginger Ninja.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Devan in person, but I think she would have appreciated having her love of reading passed on and seeing so many of her colleagues celebrate.
