Happy National Dog Week!

Over the past year, we’ve welcomed some new pups to the college football stage, including a new Goldie at Tulsa, Bourbon replacing the happily retired Blue Field Blitz at Boise State, and a new Zeke V at Michigan State.

We also found out Juice Kiffin isn’t even a Kiffin at all 😬

Before you yell at me about dogs who are missing from this list, Part 2 will be dropping later today with more good boys (and girls) from across the college football world.

Once simply called Auburn Stadium, the collegiate coliseum now known as Jordan-Hare Stadium was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day 1939 for an inaugural matchup against the Florida Gators that ended in a 7-7 tie.

Over many years and several rounds of expansion and renovation, the stadium has transformed from a small venue in a tiny agricultural town to one of the most feared and hallowed environments in college football.

The place Nick Saban described as “haunted” now serves as the spiritual centerpiece of The Loviest Village On The Plains.
