BEATING THE FIRST DEFENDER IS THE EASY PART 😳
One clean dodge looks nice...
Being able to stay dangerous through traffic is what actually changes possessions. 🥍🔥
Sasha Sanchez is working through multiple obstacles here, and that creates an important habit: don't treat every defender like a brand-new play.
Beat the first obstacle, keep your feet moving and immediately find the next angle.
Because this is where players accidentally kill their own advantage 👀
After making a good move, they stand up, slow down or bring their stick back into pressure. Now the defense gets time to recover.
Instead, stay low, keep the stick protected and make the next decision while you're still moving. ⚡
There's one more piece that separates good reps from game-ready reps...
Your exit should have PURPOSE. Get around pressure, create your hands and turn that movement into a pass or shot before the defense can reset. 🎯
Footwork is useful.
Footwork connected to a lacrosse decision is dangerous. 😈
