You can start your practice knowing more than people who’ve been at a practice for decades. No joke.
In fact, you’ll know more than most in less than 90 minutes.
If you asked most yoga students (or even a huge amount of yoga teachers) what yoga is really about you will get a ton of different answers. Only some of which MIGHT be even close to accurate. Ha!
To be honest, I was one of those yoga students who practiced for years but still struggled to clearly define what the point of the practice actually was. I spent classes focused on the wrong things. I pushed my body to the point of injury numerous times because I thought that I had to go deeper and further in order for it to count.
The truth is, the real purpose of yoga has nothing to do with the shapes we make with our bodies. The shapes are secondary.
Boy! I wish I had known that sooner but you can…and that’s what I want for you, my yoga-curious friend ,which is exactly why I created The Yoga-Curious Experience.
You don’t need to spend years focused on the wrong things or confused about the point of your practice. You can avoid all the injury risks and pitfalls that most end up in. You can start off with the right information before you ever leave the house for your first class.
In 90 minutes, you’ll not only know the definition of yoga, you’ll also know the history of the practice. You’ll know about the various class styles so you can make an informed choice on what style is best for you. You’ll know how to find a studio and teacher in your area that fits where you are in life right now. And you’ll know exactly what to expect at that first class so the pesky “what if’s” and doom stories get a bit quieter.
Sure, you can try to piece together an understanding of yoga by taking classes for years, or you can know right from the start. When you start with this kind of knowledge you’ll be able to have your yoga practice take you from stressed out and anxious to steady and grounded from day one.
Doors close for the next round of The Yoga-Curious Experience this Friday, May 29 at 11:59pm. Link in bio for more information or to enroll.

Yoga has a great PR team. It will tell you all about the benefits…
Better sleep. Less stress. A calmer mind. More presence in your life.
And yes, those things CAN happen.
But no one talks enough about how intimidating it is to start. Or what class to pick. Or what to expect when you walk into a studio so you can actually GET those benefits.
So the moment you think about going to a class, your brain spirals:
Which class is right for me?
What if I can’t keep up?
What if I’m the only one who doesn’t know what’s going on?
What if the class is just a giant waste of money?
So instead of feeling calm and grounded… you feel overwhelmed and frozen. So you do nothing.
Starting yoga doesn’t have to feel like jumping off a cliff without a parachute.
There is a way to begin with context, support, and a lot less self-doubt.
And that’s exactly why I created the Yoga-Curious Experience.
If you’ve been thinking about yoga, or thinking about trying again, this is for you.
Link in bio. Enroll today. Doors close at 11:59pm on May 29. All of those yoga benefits might be closer than you think.

There’s lots of yoga out there. Yoga studios, yoga videos online, yoga influencers on social media.
But very few of them are actually talking about the realities of STARTING yoga.
Instead they’re focused on showing complex yoga sequences with “creative” transitions, or selling trendy yoga classes like Yoga Sculpt or Sweat and Stretch or Chicken Yoga (yes, there is a class like this in my area.)
I’m not trying to throw shade. Some people love all of the above. And that’s great!
But what about the beginner who’s curious as to why their wrists ache after class and wants to know what to do about it?
Or the student who thinks that they’ve failed when they missed their weekly yoga class? Then loses momentum and doesn’t ever come back?
Or the person who thought they would be more flexible by now and their teacher just tells them to keep practicing? Now they think they might just not have that yoga “gene.”
It took me over 15 years of practice to get to these realizations about yoga. But that doesn’t have to be your story.
That’s why I created The Yoga-Curious Experience. I saw a gap in the yoga landscape. It felt like the beginning student was just being left to figure things out on their own, like I did. And I didn’t like it.
In one, 90 minute session, I’ll give you all the information I wish I had when I first started. All the questions I had but never got good answers for. So you can walk into that first yoga class with confidence, knowing more than many students who’ve been practicing for years.
Enrollment is now open for the next session. I’d be thrilled to have you join me. Link in bio.
There IS a better way to begin.

I used to think that the most challenging yoga postures were about nailing a handstand or being able to get into full splits. I was wrong.
I was wrong because yoga isn’t about the shapes we make with our bodies. Those shapes are merely entry points into how our minds work. But in oder to investigate our habits, thought patterns, and beliefs that are quietly (or not so quietly) holding us back, we have to get to our mats in the first place.
Before every in-person class I teach, I congratulate the students on nailing the hardest posture out there…showing up for class.
Our lives are busy. Your son has baseball practice after school and games on the weekends. Your daughter has dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You hold down a full time job that leaves you exhausted by 6pm every night. Carving out time for yourself is challenging.
Or maybe you don’t have kids at home but your life is still overflowing with things to do. A yard that you love taking care of but it eats up most of every weekend. A job that requires more than 40 hours of work per week plus a 2 hour commute every day. A partner who’s had health issues.
You get the idea. There’s a million reasons NOT to practice yoga. Not to show up to your yoga mat and spend time moving and breathing.
But there is one reason to make it a priority…YOU. Because no one else is going to take care of YOU.
And you’re not the only one who benefits from a yoga practice. Everyone around you does too, because you’re effortlessly the best version of yourself more often.
If this resonates and you’d like to start your yoga journey the smart way, a way that saves you precious time, money, and mental energy…comment CURIOUS and I’ll show you how.

You know that there has to be a better way. Maybe you’ve even googled ‘beginner yoga near me,’ were instantly overwhelmed by class names like Hot Power Flow, Yin, and 26 & 2...closed the laptop and vowed you’d research what those names actually mean later. Then 3 months went by and nothing changed.
But you still long to sit at dinner without your brain running through everything you didn’t finish that day. Or to actually be able to pause before snapping at your kids for giving you a hard time about going to bed. Or to simply enjoy the small moments that make up your days instead of rushing from one thing to the next.
Not perfection. Just a little more peace amidst all the chaos.
You’ve heard about the benefits of yoga…feeling more at home in your body, less tension in your neck and shoulders, actually being present in your life instead of always worrying about all the things you have to do or losing sleep over things (like the state of the world) that you cannot control. But adding one more thing to your already full plate sounds like the opposite of relief.
It doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why I created The Yoga-Curious Experience. It’s for people who are capable and smart and busy and who just need someone to cut through all of it and show them exactly how and where to start.
Imagine knowing which style of yoga is going to actually help your nervous system relax. Imagine walking into your first class knowing you picked the right studio for where you’re at right now and how to make common postures work for YOU. Imagine placing your mat confidently anywhere in the room (instead of hiding in the back) because you actually have a solid foundation of knowledge before you even take that first class.
I can get you there. Link in bio or comment CURIOUS and I’ll personally send you the details. Doors close at midnight one May 29.
There’s never going to be a “perfect” time to start yoga. But there is a way to start smart.

She had a vibrant yoga practice…20 years ago. She wanted to come back to her mat but her body is different. Because she now has arthritis in her wrists, she hasn’t done downward facing dog in years.
What if she can’t do the postures she used to be able to do with such ease many moons ago?
What if no options are given for people like her? What if she leaves that first class feeling worse about herself than when she started?
So she sits and does nothing.
But then she finds The Yoga-Curious Experience. A workshop series where starting yoga for the first time or, like her, again after a long time away, feels actually doable…and, maybe, even fun.
She signs up, thinking, “what have I got to lose?”
And, after the 90 minute workshop, sample practice, and follow up call to answer questions and get clarification, she is ready to confidently start her yoga practice again. Not because her wrists are miraculously better, but because she now has information. She knows what to focus on in class and what to let go of. She knows how to modify downward facing dog to work for her body. She knows how to use props to support her practice and make common postures work for her.
It’s never too late to come back to yoga. You might just need some guidance as to how to make the practice work for a body that’s different. And I can help.
Doors are open for the next session. (I’m so excited!) Link in bio.
Yoga doesn’t have an age or ability limit. It’s time to reclaim your practice.

You finally worked up the courage to attend your first yoga class and it felt more like a nightmare than a place to find peace. The pace was warp speed fast. The other students could literally be models for athleisure wear as they effortlessly pressed to handstand BEFORE class even started, and the teacher kept her eyes closed throughout most of the class, never noticing that you were struggling in the back row.
So you never went back and assumed all the benefits of yoga you’ve heard so much about…better sleep, more presence, less flying off the handle at the driver ahead of you in traffic, more mobility in your body…are just not available to you because you just don’t have that yoga “gene.”
Stop. There’s nothing wrong with you. You just went to the wrong class for your body and goals. And I can help make sure that experience never happens again.
That’s why I created The Yoga Curious Experience. In one 90 minute session, I’ll give you all the information you were missing before that nightmare of a class and more.
I’ll give you a brief history of the practice as well as clearly explain i(n plain English) what the actual point of yoga is so you don’t waste time twisting your body into shapes it has no business being in or pushing yourself to the brink of physical exertion just to “keep up” with the class.
I’ll explain the various styles of yoga (they are not all created equal) from Vinyasa Flow, to Yin, to Yoga Nidra so you can fully understand the purpose of each style and what to expect from a class. (This is the trickiest bit for those new to yoga.)
We’ll talk about how to evaluate a studio’s website so you know ahead of time the of vibe and environment to expect before you ever walk in the front door.
All of those benefits of yoga can be yours. You just need a better way to begin. The doors are now open for the next, live Yoga-Curious Experience workshop. All ages, bodies, and backgrounds are welcome. And I’d love to have you join me.
Comment CURIOUS and I’ll send you all the details.
