We spent this week introducing our staff one by one, and today it's my turn. You'll find my "about me" graphics at the end of the photos in this post, but I'd rather use today to zoom out and show you the whole program. Mixed in here are a few of my favorite shots of this group from the past season.

I just finished my first year leading this program, and the best thing I did all season was surround myself with the coaches highlighted this week.

Maggie, John, and Shaylinn gave a lot to this program this year, and I can't wait to see what the future brings. Thank you for everything you gave our program.

Our coaching staff is only part of what makes the girls' Tecumseh Soccer program run. The coaches who pour in their nights and weekends, the players who show up and compete, and the families who line the fence in the cold to cheer them on. All of it, together.

This program is on the right path towards true success. Year one was about laying the foundation, showing up, working hard, and buying in. The next step is closing that gap to being real contenders in the SEC, and I believe next year's group is ready for it.

Thank you all for being a part of it. The best is still ahead!

Meet our Skills Coach, Shaylinn Drouillard.

Shaylinn is one of our own. A 2024 Tecumseh grad, varsity captain, and All-SEC honoree who wore this jersey not long ago and stepped right back into the program to start her coaching journey.

She brought a sharp eye to our skills work this season, helping shape drills and offering feedback that made our sessions better. Coming off her own playing days here, she understands what these girls are working through because she just lived it herself. A lifelong Tecumseh resident now at Washtenaw Community College, she's exactly the kind of young alum we love seeing come back and give to the program.

We're excited to see where her coaching path goes, and glad she's here to help us build!

Meet our Goalkeeper Coach, John Kacic!

John has been developing keepers since 2010, with stops at Saline FC, the Michigan Tigers, Saline High School, Milan High School, and now coaches both the boys' and girls' teams at Tecumseh.

He was a four-year starting varsity keeper himself, all-conference as a junior and senior, so he knows the position from the inside out.

His track record truly speaks for itself. He's developed four keepers who went on to play at the MLS Next Pro and college level, including Zack Kacic (FC Cincinnati, Siena University [NY], DCFC), Carlito Saylon (Sporting KC, Tulsa), Beau Barren (Sporting KC, Michigan), and Eli Sizemore (Michigan Wolves, Adrian College).

Current Tecumseh boys' GK Bradyn Williams was voted First-Team All-SEC this past season, and Ingrid Bergman was the top-voted SEC GK on the girls' side.

The defense allowed 29 fewer goals this regular season than the year before.

Half-GK Coach, half-Defensive Coordinator, we are incredibly lucky to have John's wisdom in this program.

Whether you call him Papa John, or AllState Insurance, with John our keepers will always be in good hands.

Meet our Assistant Coach, Maggie Ross.

She's a Tecumseh grad who played varsity right here, has spent almost a decade running youth soccer in town, and now she's back with the high school program she grew up in. She's also the athletic secretary at THS, which means she knew most of our families before preseason even started.

This was Maggie's first year coaching High School Soccer, her first year working at the High School, and my first year as head coach.

So we are figuring a lot of it out together, always improving, and learning on the fly!

And she carried real weight this year. She led the first half of practices and took a ton off my plate on the administrative side.

She provides the kind of help you need to build a winning culture.

I am thankful she's with us. This is Day 1 of spotlighting our staff all week, keep an eye out tomorrow.
