https://www.limeworks.us/product/horsehair/

Bring authentic, old-world craftsmanship back to life. 🐎
Classic architecture demands the details that made it last so long!

Our horse hair is the traditional, natural fiber reinforcement used for centuries taken from the horse mane to give lime plaster extra cohesion, flexibility, and tensile strength. Perfect for historic plaster restoration over wood lath and all high-end natural builds.

Time-Tested Strength: Keeps plaster locked together while resisting fine cracks.

Historically Accurate: Our pure and natural animal fiber is just like the original types that all master plasterers used in the past.

Give your plaster work the authenticity it deserves!

Saint-Astier® Lithomex Brick & Stone Repair Material
https://www.limeworks.us/product/st-astier-lithomex/

User friendly, available and technically sound material that makes historic masonry restoration simple. 🧱🏛️

Lithomex® is the ultimate breathable patch material for brick, stone, and Terracotta repair. If loss of material has happened over the ages and needs to be taken up with an appropriate filler which can be carved wet or carved after it cures so it matches the surrounding historic bricks and stones which remain, Lithomex® should be your "Go-To". Formulated with Pure Natural Hydraulic Lime, it creates a repair that lets the original historic masonry unit breathe so the patch does not fall off with a thin layer of frost that can get behind a patch and push it off like what happens with the patching material sold by many competitors.

A Quantity For Any Sized Job: Available in 3 lb, 15 lb, and 55 lb (25 kg) bags—just add water, mix and go to work!

Custom Match: Comes in neutral white and in over 25 colors that match the most commonly found hues found in historic bricks and stones, including mica sparkles in certain brownstones. Our laboratory can *Custom Simulate Lithomex® to match your unique brick or stone if one of the stock colors does not match so that your repair will blend in seamlessly.

Note: *Custom Simulated Lithomex® order processing takes ~3 weeks from payment—plan your projects ahead! 📦

The finish you choose for masonry is about more than color. With the right materials and techniques, brick, stone, and other masonry surfaces can be protected with durable, breathable finishes designed to work with the masonry rather than against it.

These before-and-after projects show what's possible with mineral paints and stains. Unlike conventional coatings, mineral finishes chemically bond with masonry, creating a durable, breathable finish that protects the substrate while preserving its character.

Join us August 21 at the Craftwork Training Center in Telford, PA for our Introduction to Mineral Paints & Stains workshop. Participants will learn the differences between mineral paints and stains, proper surface preparation, color matching techniques, and gain hands-on experience applying mineral coatings to masonry.
