I am lucky and feel honored to have met Josh. His message, his spirit and his commitment to our sport was unlike anyone before and to this day after his passing os unmatched.
He inspired me on my journey with my son in the sport and that became Team NoBull. One person can make a difference - I know that is true because of Josh.
This is a repost from the foundation his parents launched after his passing.:
thejnfoundation Happy Birthday, Josh.
Another year of celebrating you. Another year of learning from the life you lived.
You showed us that a good story isn’t measured by how long it is, but by how fully it’s lived.
You reminded us to chase what makes us come alive, surround ourselves with people we love, say yes to adventure, step outside our comfort zones, and leave something good behind.
Your time here was far too short, but the impact you made continues to ripple through so many lives.
Your light continues to shine, even in your absence.
We miss you. We celebrate you. And we will keep living a good story in your honor.
Happy Birthday, Josh. We love you always.

When the Dallas skaters hosted one of their first outlaw races and decided that it would be HGR Rules - (Houston Garage Riders) which meant there were no rules…Well we figured that we should test their definition of no rules in the first heat.
The early days of our sports growth in Texas all started in Houston and the Houston Garage racing scene became infamous because of the “rules” which were called the HGR Rules - which basically meant there were no rules. The Houston garage racing scene started to grow significantly in 2008 when Scotty Sheridan opened Carve Skateshop in The Heights - which was followed by everyone that worked at , hung out at or bought anything Carve Skateshop naming the group HGR - Houston Garage Riders.

D7 | AUGUST 21–22, 2026 🏁
From D1 to D6, champions have already carved their names into this mountain’s legacy. Now the stage is set for D7—bigger, louder, faster, and more intense than ever.
Diteki is recognized as the home and original downhill racetrack in Aurora Province. The historic course that hosted the biggest downhill skateboarding race in the Philippines. It remains the first and only track to gather approximately 170 riders from all over the country, including pro riders and legends of the sport. It also hosted its first international race in the province with the Thailand Longboarding Team.
This is where legends were tested.
This is where history was made.
And still, the mountain continues to make history with every generation that skates it.
Who will rise next?
Back in the mid-1970s, Denis Shufeldt was a legendary speed demon hitting unthinkable speeds at the time of 40 mph+ , being the first to develop high-speed fairing postures for downhill. He eventually became a Skateboarding Hall Of Fame Inductee. Clip from YouTube channel “The Ride”
