2026 DBB Texarkana Jr. Boys All Stars

⚾ 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 ⚾

Our World Series run came to an end yesterday in another battle with Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

We dropped a tough one, 7 to 6, in a game that had just about everything.

The boys came out swinging and jumped ahead 4 to 0 in the 1st inning. Cooper Reardon, Diesel Young, Jeffery Ives, and Fischer Thompson all came through as Texarkana got rolling early.

Ledger Swann added another run in the 2nd with a two strike single, then came through again in the 6th to tie the game at 6.

Hattiesburg answered late and found a way to pull ahead in the bottom of the 6th.

Oaklee Odum got the start on the bump and competed hard, going 3 innings with 6 strikeouts. Brody Parks came in relief and battled in some tough innings.

The bats kept fighting all game. Texarkana collected 10 hits and worked 8 walks.

Ledger Swann had another huge game, going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks. Knox Huddleston led the team with 3 hits in 4 at bats and stole 2 bases. Cooper Reardon, Crymsyn Lantrip, Ledger Swann, and Fischer Thompson each worked 2 walks.

These boys fought until the last out.

Losing by one run is hard. Losing by one run twice to the same team is brutal. There is no way around it. That ending hurt.

But hurt like that only comes when a team has poured everything it has into the game. These boys did that. They battled. They competed. They gave themselves a chance until the very end.

This was not the ending we wanted, but there is nothing about this run that any of them should hang their heads about.

I’m going to rest in the fact that we didn’t leave wondering if we belonged. We left knowing we did.

Regional Champions.
Texas State Champions.
World Series team. 🌎🏆

They earned every bit of it.

And every name on this roster mattered.

Oaklee Odum. Brody Parks. Aaron McCullough. Axton Gross. Diesel Young. Fischer Thompson. Cooper Reardon. Sawyer Hickerson. Jeffery Ives. Ledger Swann. Crymsyn Lantrip. Knox Huddleston. Brady Boykin. Whit Crouch.

Every role. Every inning. Every at bat. Every dugout moment. Every bit of it mattered.

Thank you to every parent, sponsor, supporter, coach, family member, and friend who helped these boys get here.

Texarkana showed up for them, and these boys gave Texarkana something to be proud of.

⚾ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 ⚾
Yesterday, we opened World Series play against Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and came up just short in a tough one, 3 to 2, on the final play of the game.

The game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the 7th when Hattiesburg scored on an error. It was the kind of play any of us could have made. That is baseball.

Both teams were strong on the bump. Hattiesburg’s pitchers struck out 9, while our pitching staff sat down 14.

Whit Crouch got the start and struck out 5 over 2 innings. Jeff Ives followed in relief with 2 innings and 2 strikeouts, and Oaklee Odum finished it off with 7 strikeouts over 2.1 innings.

Ledger Swann was huge in game one, going 2 for 3 and driving in both of our runs. Jeff Ives also collected 2 hits, and Knox Huddleston stole 2 bases.

Our boys played hard, battled to the end, and came up one play short.

Today, they came back and answered.

The Texarkana All Stars defeated Florence, South Carolina, 9 to 6.
Texarkana got on the board in the 1st inning when Cooper Reardon singled to center to bring in the first run, and Whit Crouch followed by driving in Knox Huddleston to give the All Stars an early lead. Florence answered in the bottom of the 1st, but our boys kept swinging.

Knox Huddleston had a monster day at the plate, going 4 for 5 with a double and three singles. His double in the 3rd inning helped tie the game back up at 3.

In the 5th inning, Texarkana took control. Crymsyn Lantrip singled in a run, Ledger Swann singled to keep the rally moving, Cooper Reardon singled in two more, and Diesel Young doubled to bring in another.

Cooper Reardon drove the middle of the lineup, finishing 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs.

Aaron McCullough was all over the bases against Florence, going 3 for 4 with a single, double, triple, a walk, and 3 runs scored. He finished a home run short of the cycle.

The bats showed up in a big way. Texarkana collected 18 hits as a team.

Jeff Ives, Diesel Young, Crymsyn Lantrip, Ledger Swann, and Aaron McCullough all collected hits, and Sawyer Hickerson added a late single as well.

Oaklee Odum opened the game on the bump, and Whit Crouch came in and carried us the rest of the way, throwing 6.2 innings in relief, allowing 6 hits and 3 runs while striking out 4 and walking 1.

The defense also made plays when it mattered. Texarkana turned a double play, and Brody Parks helped shut the door by picking off a runner at third to end the game.

This was a complete team response.
The pitching staff did its job.
The lineup did its job.
The boys earned another game.

We play again today at 4:30 against Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with a chance to avenge yesterday’s loss.

As we leave tomorrow and begin World Series play on Saturday, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this run possible.

⚾ UNDEFEATED AND HEADED TO THE WORLD SERIES

The Texarkana 14U All-Stars got a hero's welcome at Monday
night's Texarkana, Texas City Council meeting, where the mayor recognized the Dixie Boys Baseball Texas Tier 1 State Champions before they head to the Dixie Baseball World Series.

The team enters the tournament a perfect 10-0 after winning district, regionals and state. They'll face teams from across the South July 17-22 in Sterlington, Louisiana, opening against Mississippi at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the University of Louisiana Monroe.

"They put in a lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of sweat, a lot of mornings, a lot of nights," head coach Paul Crouch told the council.

Congratulations to the players and coaches and good luck this weekend, boys!

🏆⚾ 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗨𝗡 ⚾🏆

𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺.

This was not District, Regionals, or the State Tournament.

This was before the trophies.

Before the titles.

Before most people knew what this group was becoming.

This was a between innings huddle during an open tournament we entered before All Star season because we believed the best way to prepare for great competition was to go find it.

So we did.

We challenged ourselves against some of the best AAA and Major division competition we could find.

We got tested. We got pushed. We grew.

And in moments like this, this group started becoming a team.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Now they have earned the opportunity to represent Texarkana and the State of Texas at the Dixie Boys Baseball World Series.

No matter what happens from here, boys, you have already made us proud. ⚾🏆

When this team comes together in prayer, Jeff is the young man we turn to. Our team chaplain. A young man of faith, character, maturity, and a bat with considerably less mercy. 🙏⚾😂

𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲. 𝗛𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲. 😂

Over the past two seasons, no player has shown more growth than Sawyer. Through hard work, determination, and an incredible attitude, he earned his place as a Texarkana All Star.

During league play, Sawyer was a difference maker in every phase of the game. Whether it was delivering timely hits, making key defensive plays, or stepping onto the mound and throwing quality innings, he consistently gave his team exactly what they needed. His versatility and willingness to do whatever was asked helped his team succeed all season long.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲.

He is one of the best teammates you could ask for. He encourages everyone around him, celebrates the success of others, and brings energy to the dugout every single day. If you’ve spent five minutes around Sawyer, you’ve probably laughed. He’s always cracking jokes, keeping everyone smiling, and making baseball more fun for his teammates and coaches alike.

Even more importantly, Sawyer is a respectful, humble, Christian young man who represents his family, his team, and our community with class. He is coachable, dependable, and always puts the team first.
