With more than 11,000 teams planning to make their way to the famed National Bowling Stadium in 2026 for the , the tournament staff has opened an additional week of squads to accommodate the demand to compete in Reno.

Big scores in the homestretch have become a trend at the Bowlers Journal Championships, as Shawn Naumann and PJ Haggerty made the late push in 2025 to get to the top spot in Open Doubles with 1,592.
