The World Baseball Project promotes international youth baseball development as a means for breaking

*THIS* — right here — is what World Baseball Project is all about; this is friendship through baseball!

Last month, I got a message from , inviting me to join him in New York for a / game. We initially connected right here on Instagram, just before the pandemic went viral, and had yet to meet in person.

In short, I was stoked to accept his invitation. I was also pretty stoked to finally break out this amazing tshirt of Japan's Koshien Stadium, which I recently scooped up from
(check out the whole collection at JapanBall.com. They're amazing shirts!).

For those of you unfamiliar with , he is from Spain, lives in Switzerland, and is a huge fan. If you think baseball is not a global game, this guy should be all you need to think otherwise.

It was great to finally spend some time together, my friend. May our next baseball adventure come before too long!

Feeling incredibly grateful for this bobble head gift from my friends at . They are currently running a contest over on Twitter to win this awesome collectible!

We are so lucky to be the ones who witness the history Ohtani is making! Truly remarkable!

What do you think? Should I do a reveal of the bobble? Or keep it boxed? 🤔

Hey friends - It's been a while. There is a lot to catch up on, but it seems many things are happening quickly now and it's hard to find time for an update.

For now, I just want to share this photo with you, which is one of my favorite photos from Vietnam. I am on the right, in the hat; Nam Giang on the left, in a t-shirt and catcher's mask.

I just love the contrast of Nam Giang's playful spirit and my intense focus on the game; I was official scorekeeper for the 2019 season of the Ho Chi Minh Baseball League (HBL), so I had to pay close attention.

I have been thinking about Vietnam a lot lately, and missing it so much (especially the baseball guys!). I hope everyone there is staying safe and sane amid the current COVID scare.

Props to our boys at Bekoji Baseball for taking a proactive measure and utilizing their platform within the community to educate and inform Ethiopian youth. We need to see more of this in the world.

It's a real honor to have worked with these guys. The future of baseball in Vietnam is entirely in their hands. It's so cool to see. Go get 'em, Pioneers!
