Another vacation or retreat isn’t going to fix your burnout.

Don’t get me wrong, I love vacations and retreats, and think everyone should take them. I attend and host both myself. Recovery is as important as performance.

BUT, no one talks about the other side. When coming back actually makes you feel WORSE because you temporarily got away from the systemic issue and remembered what life could feel like without it.

The temporary reprieve doesn’t fix the long-term issue:
-A toxic boss
-A dysfunctional team
-Unaligned, soul-sucking work
-Patterns of overwhelm or sabotage due to sheer workload or lack of boundaries
-Feeling stuck or bored because you’ve outgrown your role

It takes a lot of deep work to fix these issues. Going through it first myself, and then with hundreds of other women is how I saw the patterns to create the GEMS (Genius, Expression, Meaningful Networks, Strategic Leadership Mindset) MethodTM for sustainable leadership.

But a Maven is willing to put in the work because she knows a thriving career where her gifts are valued - is not only possible - it’s her new standard.

I had a great time representing Tetra Tech Careers at the Rice University Green Career Forum today!

I talked to so many students that are excited about being part of the energy transition and are actively searching for internships and full-time roles.

It was also great getting to interact with the other inspiring individuals being interviewed as ! Such great talent in the room.

I had an awesome time delivering my Effective Networking Workshop for the Southern Gas Association All Access members today! It was a great group of both introverts and extroverts!

is important for EVERYONE! Widening your social and professional circles is where of ALL kinds come from. As I said today, “networking isn’t always linear, and you never know who is going to hold the key to your kingdom!”

The success in my career ultimately came down to the WHO I knew. You have to put in the hard work to be technically good, and develop a sound and for delivering, but it was the I built that opened the doors to opportunity.

I had a minor surgery that turned into a major surgery, and it’s been a long week of recovery.

All the notes, texts, calls, gifts, etc. have been a bright-spot, and I feel so loved and appreciated 🥰 At both home and work, I am surrounded by truly epic human beings. THANK YOU.

I will be just fine, but you better believe I am diving BACK into health deeper than ever before. This surgery held PROOF that all the work I have been putting in since 2013 was working… but it also wasn’t enough to completely reverse damage and scarring that had already been done, and that I let continue for another decade.

DO NOT WAIT ON YOUR HEALTH!!!

In order the be great leaders, in both career and life, health has to be with you EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. I think a lot of us think “I’ll get to that later.” Career and health RISE TOGETHER, not at the expense of each other.

And ladies… trust your guts. Hormones are important, and not something to be left on the back burner or ignored. You have to become your own health advocates, and go deeper than conventional testing. Research. Use your intuition. And when you know something is wrong, something is wrong, regardless of what

Completed our annual ritual of NYD hike, a little over 10 miles in a little under 5 hours. Now I recover…. My legs are broken 😂

Got to spend the day learning from .rewire and ! I took three pages of notes from this session alone! I feel so grateful to have met Daymond in person, he is an inspiring and mind-expanding entrepreneur! 🔥
