We're going live from Hot Springs County High School for our last home volleyball broadcast of the season (not including freshman vs. Lander) before the middle school basketball season starts as the Thermopolis Bobcats hold their second-to-last home contest of the season against the Shoshoni Wranglers!

The Lady Cats took the trip through the canyon into Wrangler territory earlier this month, with varsity walking away with a nailbiting 1-3 loss to the Lady Blue, in which Shoshoni had to win the fourth set 27-25.

The Lady Cats are currently coming off of a 0-3 road loss to Lovell, with the Lady Blue losing at home to Greybull, also 0-3. The Bobcats, however seem to have had a week's vacation since their last contest, meaning they may be a fresher team over Shoshoni today, and with some home court advantage to boot.

We have decided to skip covering the football game in Mountain View and staying in Thermopolis to cover volleyball vs. Shoshoni. We'll see you on Friday at HSCHS and we wish good luck to the football team as they fight for the top seed in 2A West!

Remember how we couldn't make the volleyball game in Lovell last Thursday due to our car experiencing a coolant leak?

We forgot to put out an announcement today but we were supposed to be in Cowley for Shoshoni JV football today and in Riverton tomorrow for Worland JV football. Neither of which went according to plan.

If the car gets fixed or some other travel arrangement falls in our lap, the plan is to be in Mountain View for football on Friday for our last Bobcat football broadcast of the year before MS basketball starts, but if that plan also blows up in our face we will likely stay in Thermopolis for volleyball against Shoshoni.

We again are extremely sorry and frustrated that a lot of broadcasts have not come to fruition because of the stupidest things out of our control, and please try to understand that this is a one-man operation, which means if one thing goes wrong then there's not going to be coverage that day, plain and simple.

We didn't even make it to the junction of Black Mountain Road before the car decided it wanted to overheat. We are not going to Lovell today. We are extremely frustrated and we will try to make this up in some way.

We still plan to go to Meeteetse tomorrow afternoon for football vs. Kaycee, and come back to Thermop for football vs. Lyman on Friday and volleyball vs. Wind River on Saturday. We are extremely sorry that this is now the third volleyball game of the year and the sixth broadcast of the year we have missed because of crap out of our control.

Our new camera has come in, we'll be testing her out tomorrow in Shoshoni against Cheyenne East! 📷

We're going live from Powell High School as the Bobcats linger around the northern half of the state to take on the Powell Panthers of Class 3A on the road.

The Bobcats fell on the road to a tough Rocky Mountain Grizzlies squad last night 3-0, with the scores in each set ending 25-8, 25-19, and a hard-fought 28-26 in the third set. The Bobcats, now sitting 4-15, will look to rebound against a tougher but weakened Powell Panthers squad, who sits 13-10-1 following a tough loss to #3 ranked Lovell in a five-set slugfest. The Bobcats are no stranger to slaying giants, however, as they reverse-swept a fellow 3A opponent in Lander Valley early in September at home.

Coverage will start with freshman action at noon, followed by JV at 1 and varsity at 2. All three games can be found on the TBSN YouTube channel!

We have a new camera arriving Monday. We hope this will improve the visual quality of our broadcasts 🙏

We will likely not be making the trip to Cowley for volleyball today due to our car finally being in the shop today. We should be back on the road in Powell tomorrow. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.
