Soil Mates Trail Races We host trail races on our family farm in Upson County, Georgia.

Race Announcement:

Our next Soil Mates Trail Race starts on February 13, 2027. We don’t know when it will end because it’s a Backyard Ultra with no set finish line.
You have to make the generous cutoff every hour on the 4.167 mile loop to keep going in Georgia’s only affiliated Backyard Ultra.

Registration link is in our Bio or search “Soil Mates Backyard Ultra” on Ultrasignup.com.

Trail Stick Definition:
A light stick with lots of branches off the sides that the first runner on the trail carries in front of them to avoid getting spiders on their face or in their hair.

We’re in spider season, so lucky for the race leaders, Susy is going to walk all the trails before the sun is up on race morning to clear the spider webs from the single track trails.
