SIMPLE, NOT SEXY



In todays world of catching attention on social media, trainers and companies only post the sexy stuff. The double banded triple double jumps or whatever new invention they’ve come up with. However, in reality, it is this stuff…the simple learning how to deadlift with great form and body awareness that helps athletes progress. Building body awareness and strength are the two most important things an athlete can do. Body awareness helps an athlete make a change to their technique when a coach asks them to, strength helps them create more force, more power, jump higher and run faster. These two things are baseline of athletic progress.

The process of growth and muscle gain isn’t something that happens overnight. It’s something that you can’t see immediately. And over time, when it’s just you looking in the mirror, you don’t even notice the changes.
This is why we tell our athletes that you have to stick with it for a long time. This is 6 months of dedicated training, dedicated supplementation and sticking with the plan even without seeing immediate results.
Change takes time but eventually you’ll have enough change that everyone notices every time you’re around.

This video is simply a coach putting some of our Speed and Strength kids through a progression for learning the hang clean. You can see deliberate reps being executed here with coaching cues being giving to correct form and technique.
Every class looks similar to this. We aren’t just telling kids what to do without some coached progression. Its learning through repetitive reps and repetitive correction.
Its the way every weight room in America should run but not the way I’ve seen any high school program run it.
Bring your middle schooler and high schooler to us. We’ll teach them how to move safely, effectively and efficiently to get the most out of their athletic careers.

From team defense, to physicality to top notch goaltending they did the job.

The simplicity of the hinge…
The ability to keep a flat back, bend the knees, and effectively activate the hamstrings and glutes.
The hinge is the entry way for explosive power and posterior chain strength. Yes we have the squat, but when we can activate a whole different set of muscles once we can effectively hinge. We open up the possibility of performing cleans, KB Swings, snatches etc.

What we’re about!
We stand on this and we dont back off these principles. This is more than just building good athletes, This is building good people.
Less than 3% of high school athletes will go on to play college sports and less than 1% of those will go on to play professional sports. So when it’s all said and done, what will the person under the helmet be like? Will they be a selfish person with no work ethic, or will they be a hard worker who pours into others.
We hope to build the latter.
