Tonight we honor the memory of Welles Crowther. The Man in the Red Bandana. A man that in the face of an uncertain outcome helped those that he could save. Put others first. He could have followed the people he helped but turned back to help more! Our young men spoke to what they learned from his actions but also in the person was. In the tragic moment he chose others!

This week, our team is learning about Welles Crowther “The Man in the Red Bandana.”

Welles was a young man who, when faced with unimaginable circumstances, chose to lead, serve, and put others before himself. His story is a powerful reminder that true courage isn’t about what you do when things are easy. It’s about what you do when things get hard.

As coaches, our responsibility goes far beyond X’s and O’s, wins and losses. We want to help our kids become the best versions of themselves, young men who lead, serve, protect, encourage and make a difference in their families, schools and communities.

This video is our players sharing what Welles Crowther’s story means to them.

We couldn’t be more proud of the young men they are becoming.

This Friday’s game is our Military and First Responder Appreciation game. All Members receive free admission. As we prepare for this weeks game our players will be speaking of the heroic efforts of Welles Crowther, “The Man in Red Bandana.” His bravery on 9/11, putting others before himself is the epitome of the word Hero!
