As the weather warms up and we all head to the pool to enjoy some fun in the sun, itâs a great time to remember how important it is to stay vigilant when it comes to pool safetyâespecially when children are around.
Pools are a fantastic way to cool off, stay active, and make summer memories. However, with all the fun, itâs essential to always keep a watchful eye on little ones who are in or around the water.
đď¸ Simple Tips for Pool Safety:
Always Stay Close: Keep a safe distance, but stay within armâs reach of younger children.
Designate a Pool Watcher: If youâre with a group, take turns being the âpool watcherâ so that someone is always alert and not distracted.
Teach Water Safety: Encourage kids to learn basic swimming skills and water safety as early as possible.
Stay Alert: No texting, no distractionsâkeep your focus on the water.
Pool time should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone. With a little awareness and responsibility, we can all ensure that everyone has a safe and fun time!

Learning CPR and First Aid is about equipping yourself with the tools to help, not about living in fear of emergencies. Itâs about empowerment and being ready to step up when needed. Most importantly, youâll leave feeling empowered, knowing you can make a difference.
As a Red Cross Certified CPR Instructor, Iâm here to guide you every step of the way. The training is hands-on, supportive, and designed to help you feel confident and prepared.
đą Why Itâs Important:
Confidence in Crisis â Knowing what to do in an emergency can take the panic out of a stressful situation. It gives you the confidence to act when it matters most.
Immediate Help â In emergencies, every second counts. CPR and First Aid can help keep someone alive or stabilize their condition until medical professionals arrive.
Itâs Easier Than You Think â Many people assume CPR and First Aid are complex or difficult. In reality, these life-saving skills are simple to learn and easy to remember, and classes can be done in just a few hours.
A Lifelong Skill â Whether itâs a child choking, a heart attack, or a minor burn, these skills can be used in a variety of situations, not just the life-threatening ones. Youâll know how to manage cuts, scrapes, or even handle an allergic reaction.
Are you ready to learn how to save a life?

I'm Lacy, Owner and Instructor at Splash Therapy. I grew up around swimming, with a father that owned a swim school in the backyard of my childhood home. I am now a mom of 2 kids, ages 8 and almost 11, living in Thousand Oaks with my amazing husband, Brian. I love to read and get outside, so when I am not teaching you can find me relaxing with a book, taking a walk or a hike outside, or hanging with my family. What else would you like to know about me?
