🚨 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

🏀🐾 Please join us in welcoming Coach Jimmy Ward as our new Head Boys Basketball Coach! 🐾🏀

We are excited to announce Coach Jimmy Ward as the new Head Coach of our Boys Basketball program. Coach Ward brings a wealth of coaching experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep connection to athletics throughout Frederick County.

A former dual-sport athlete at Frostburg State University, Coach Ward has coached both football and basketball at schools including Urbana and St. John’s. He currently serves as the Head Coach for Girls Lacrosse and Girls Soccer and has additional experience coaching Girls Basketball and Girls Flag Football at Catoctin High School.

Beyond his coaching accomplishments, Coach Ward is a certified Maxwell Leadership Coach, Speaker, and Trainer. Coach Ward is committed to building a culture centered on leadership, accountability, and personal growth. He is dedicated to creating an environment where student-athletes can excel both on the court and in the classroom while developing the skills necessary for success in life.

What a journey it has been. Your determination, toughness, and willingness to compete have helped shape the culture of every team you’ve been a part of. Whether on the field, in practice, or supporting your teammates, you’ve always brought energy and commitment that others could count on.

Today marks the end of one chapter, but it’s also the beginning of so many new opportunities. Take pride in everything you’ve accomplished and the legacy you’ve left behind.

Hard work pays off.

As individual awards begin to roll in, it’s important to remember that while these honors recognize individual achievement, they are really a reflection of what our entire program accomplished together this season.

When this journey began, many of these girls were learning the sport for the first time. Through countless hours of practice, extra work, believing in one another, and committing to something bigger than themselves, they helped transform Catoctin Girls Lacrosse into a program that continues to raise the bar.
