I don’t pray for a perfect game. I pray for confidence that isn’t tied to the scoreboard, courage when mistakes happen, humility when success comes, and joy through every inning.

I pray she never measures herself against the girl beside her or lets a bad at-bat, an error, a win, or a loss determine her worth.

Let softball teach her how to work hard, respond to adversity, encourage others, stay humble, and keep showing up. But Lord, never let the game become her identity. Remind her that before she is an athlete, she is Yours. 🤍

The goal isn’t to panic and chase.
The goal is to communicate, stay under control, and make the runner commit.

🥎 Close the gap.
🥎 Keep the ball in front of the runner.
🥎 Use as few throws as possible.
🥎 Back up every throw.
🥎 Communicate loudly and clearly.
🥎 Finish the play with an out.
