Pershing Rifles Troop L-1

L-1 held a changing of command ceremony during our weekly chapter meeting. This change of colors represent the acknowledgment and assignment of authority. Outgoing Commander Foley is charging Incoming Commander DeHan with Troop L-1’s care.

Please welcome in Commander Dehan!! SCOONEY!!

L-1 is proud to share that our very own Rifleman Dehan was recognised by for her exceptional performance, commitment and leadership throughout the Spring 26 Semester!!

Rifleman Dehan crossed in January 2026, and is a nominee to take over as L-1’s Company Commander. We are very excited and honoured by the distinction.

Shoutout to Commander Foley and Rifleman Brown for taking the time on Easter weekend to help fundraise for !! L-1’s Riflemen are working to build relationships with the community, and consistently setting the standard!

Troop L-1 is pleased to share that we had a successful NATCON! L-1 achieved 3rd overall with placements of 3rd in Armed IDR PLT, 3rd in Unarmed IDR PLT, and 3rd in IDR SQD.

Commander Foley would like to say a special thank you to L-1’s friends, family, and alumni for constant support and encouragement. Good job to all the companies in attendance, we look forward to competing again next year!

Excellence begins long before the big day.

This week, our Rifleman took the time to prepare their uniforms and ensure every detail was squared away for NATCON. The standard is built in the little things.

As L-1 concludes the second candidate night and gear up for NATCON, here is a message from the CO to the candidates.

“Good job, all.

To the candidates, you have completed the second night in your candidate process and are preparing for your third and final night. Take what you have learned tonight and apply it to the final night but more importantly, apply it to everything we do here on out. Everything you put into the troop, the troop will give back to you. Keep pushing yourself and make sure you help your battle-buddies. You will only succeed if everyone else is succeeding with you.

To our Riflemen, good job on giving these candidates a look at what the troop is all about, BROTHERHOOD, keep up the hard work and don’t think it goes unnoticed.

Supporting our veterans is not only for 1 day! This past Friday, 7 November 2025, the troop continued to show our support by providing color guard for Stranahan Elementary's emergency services and veterans day assembly!

Troop L-1 was honored to provide the color guard for UT's military appreciation game! We spent our time honoring those that serve our country and connecting with the youth of our community. WITH DISTINCTION AND AUTHORITY ⚡️
