Serenity Kids Yoga brings the art of yoga and mindfulness to children of all abilities. As an occupational therapist for over 20 years, I have seen firsthand the benefits of bringing yoga into my therapy sessions with children. With all the challenges occurring in our world during these times, yoga can bring our children stress relief and improved emotional regulation. Classes provide children a break from their busy schedule to learn how to slow down, become self-aware, and be present through breathing and meditation practices.

I completed my final project for my Asanas for Autism and Special Needs course this weekend. After next Saturday, I will be officially certified to teach yoga to children with a focus in special needs. I cannot wait to get started teaching classes. Here is my final project that I filmed with my daughter, Shayna. She will be joining me during my classes as my helper. Classes begins next Tuesday the 20th at 5pm. With our children facing so many challenges over the past year with quarantines and masking, they are all in need of connection, positive social interactions and mental health support.
Today I officially announce the Grand Opening of Serenity Kids Yoga LLC coming to Toms River, NJ in July 2021. As an occupational therapist and mom of two teens, I have seen first hand the impact this year has had on our kids. The benefits of yoga and mindfulness practice for our children is more impactful than ever before.
Serenity Kids Yoga is an inclusive program for all children of diverse abilities. Bringing children together of all backgrounds to learn kindness and love. Teaching that together we are a community no matter what someone's physical or cognitive abilities are.
