Abel’s back at it at Topeka Quarter Midget Association in his first race of the season in Senior Honda 120 and official first race in the Light 160 class 🏁🏁.

Honda 120 Heat: Starting the race in 4th (out of 5), he quickly jumped to the #1 and led most of the race but in a fight to hold the position, lost the lead right at the end finishing in 2nd.

Honda 120 Feature: The race was inverted, which moved our stating position from 2nd to 4th. At green, again bolted to the #1, held the lead but in the mix of lap traffic fell back into the #3 where he finished.

Honda 160 Heat: being Abel’s first race in this car, we still have some kinks to workout but he gave it his all. Starting in 4th out of 4, he was quick to gain the lead but struggled to keep the car from getting loose out of the turns which gradually dropped his position down to the #3 by the checkered.

Honda 160 Feature: Starting 2nd, he started strong taking the lead but spun out pretty quick which put him in the back. While fighting to regain his position, he caught the tail end of a wreak which caused his car to flip.. Abel was good to keep going but the car was a little out of toe, he got back out there but the car just wasn’t on point which resulting in a 3rd place finish.

Overall was a good solid start to the season, we have some bugs to work out but overall we’re setting in a pretty good spot for this race season 🏁🏁.

Shout out to Donny Reed for the awesome race action photos!
