That’s a wrap on our mod squads 2025 season! 🏐🥳
Our Lansingburgh Modified Volleyball team celebrated their season last week with an awards banquet.
We were excited to honor the team’s hard work, dedication, and growth.
A huge thank you to the families who helped support us, the fans who cheered us on, and especially, Jill Manupella for her hard work putting our events together.
🏐🏐🏐
The end of the season is always bittersweet, but the future of our program is bright. I can’t wait to continue watching you grow as athletes!

Introducing our last senior: JAHNIA VENSON #️⃣🔟
Jahnia has been with our program for 5 years. From being a sophomore on varsity to a two time captain by her senior year- she’s served as a leader on and off the court. We will miss her enthusiasm, work ethic, and passion for the game.
🏐🏐🏐
Favorite memory: Pre game car rides & writing diss tracks with Kenz my sophomore year of varsity. (I love you thank you for being my best friend & role model).
Someone you want to Thank: First, I thank God for bringing me to this sport. Every lesson, failure, & success has made me the person I am today. I also want to thank my mom & grandparents for being my biggest supporters & #1 fans. Their investments in my future push me to be the best I can be & I’m so blessed to have them in my corner.
Plans after graduation: I plan to double major in sociology & adolescent education to become a history teacher. I’m planning to commit to playing volleyball at the collegiate level & eventually become a coach.

Favorite memory: My favorite memory was from this years volleyball season. I would say between either playing the tortilla challenge with Coach Cait or finding out I was playing the position as libero. When I found out-everyone was so very happy for me and our team as a whole. I could see the genuine joy in everyone’s faces, voices, smiles, and body language. As a volleyball player for Lansingburgh highschool I could never let go of that feeling. Overall I enjoyed every split second I spent on this team and I would never take any of it back. And I mean that with my whole heart.
Someone you want to thank:
I want to thank my coaches. They have completely changed my way of thinking and my way of life. They always know the exact words on what to say whether we like it or not. Sometimes I find coach Cait is in my head like reading my mind or something, or coach Elaina’s words repeat in my head. Overall their words, experience, hearts, and amazing minds have greatly influenced me. So I want to thank my coaches for pushing me to excel, and be the best version of myself there is all the time. For seeing my potential and giving me this wonderful opportunity for playing for them. My coaches have helped me find not only my confidence but my voice. I hope my future coaches are just as graceful, balanced, and disciplined as you are. You guys are my heroes, Thank you.
Plans after graduation:
Given that she has no clue where she wants to go for education, she knows that she is an educator. Her heart draws to educating and helping the ones around her. She plans to continue her work in being a multi-sport athlete and powerlifter. She also wants to continue her passion for art in college as well.

Favorite memory: When Coach Cait taught me how to block over this past summer.
Someone you want to thank: I want to thank my grandma for always supporting me and coming to as many games as she could.
Plans after graduation: I plan on attending college after high school.

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨
Introducing out first senior: AMELIA CORDERO #️⃣1️⃣
Amelia has been in the LHS volleyball program for 5 years. She is a leader and dedicated teammate. We’ll miss you Meals!
🏐🏐🏐
Favorite Memory: There’s so many great memories but a few would be assistant coaching the turnpike students with Coach Cait over the summer, getting a block sophomore year, and Jasanah doing the work at a tournament.
Someone You want to Thank: I want to thank Coach Chris and Coach Cait for brining back my love for volleyball and helping me grow as a player. Without their guidance I wouldn’t be the athlete I am today. I’d also like to thank my best friends and my parents for their endless support, encouragement, and belief in me.
Plans after Graduation: Go to college to major in nursing and minor in linguistics. Then joining a PA program to become a Physicians Assistant.
