The Stories on Our Walls 🩵
I’ve spent the last 5 years building HEAT into what it is today.
Our equipment has grown over time, and so has the collection of things on our walls. Many of them have been collected along the way, and each one represents a different piece of HEAT’s story — where we started, the people who have been part of it, and what keeps me motivated to keep growing.
So for this week’s Keeping It Real with Allie, I’m sharing a few of the things I see every day and why they mean so much to me.
Swipe to see the stories behind them → 🔥
A Little Piece of HEAT History 🔥
This towel has been around for years and still has our original HEAT acronym — Health. Encourage. Achieve. Thrive.
Hanging from it are two Ben’s Bells I’ve received over the last two years for helping host our annual charity fitness event with them.
Ben’s Bells are incredibly special here in Tucson, and these remind me that HEAT has the opportunity to make an impact outside of our workouts, too. 💚
Can’t wait for our next one on 10/10!
Yes, I Painted This 😂🎨
One of the more random pieces of HEAT history — I painted this! (Wit help from Tipsy Picassos during a paint night)
It’s been hanging in the gym for 2 years now, and while I definitely won’t be taking commissions anytime soon 😂, I love that something I made has a permanent spot in the business I built.
This One Makes Me Proud 🥹
One of my clients made this board for my bridal shower and had everyone at HEAT sign it.
There are lots of congratulations, but some of my favorite messages are the ones about what HEAT means to them — friendship, community, support, strength, accountability and so much more.
I get to look at it every day, and it makes me incredibly proud of the community we’ve built together.
Dreams Weigh More Than Excuses 🦋🐘
My husband gave me this when I was trying to build up the courage to leave my old job and take the leap into starting my own business.
At the time, HEAT was just an idea and a dream that felt really scary to go after.
Now this picture hangs on the wall inside the business I was once afraid to start.
It’s one of my favorite reminders to keep dreaming bigger. 🩵

Keeping It Real with Allie | Story Time!
At my very first internship in the fitness industry, a man told me that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to lose weight and “look the part.”
I was only 18.
I was brand new to this world, excited to learn and build a career doing something I loved—and one of the first things I discovered was that, apparently, the way my body looked mattered more than I ever expected it to.
That comment stuck with me. More than 10 years later, I can still remember exactly how it made me feel.
And unfortunately, it wasn’t the last time I saw that side of the fitness industry.
Over the years, though, my idea of what fitness should be has become so much bigger than weight, calories burned, or looking a certain way.
Fitness should help you feel strong. Give you energy. Build confidence. Support your physical and mental health. Help you take care of yourself while still enjoying your life.
And somewhere along the way, that experience at 18 became part of the reason I knew I wanted to create something different.
I wanted HEAT to be a place where you never have to “look the part” to belong. Where showing up is celebrated, modifications are encouraged, progress looks different for everyone, and the person next to you is cheering you on instead of comparing herself to you.
Encouragement over judgment. Always. 💙🔥
That’s the kind of fitness industry I want to be a part of.
And I think that 18-year-old girl would be pretty damn proud of what I’ve built today. 🫂
