Inspired by the bowling pin shoots of the 80s and 90s, The Bowling Pin Blitz is a competition focused on fundamental shooting skills.

Shooters must balance accuracy, power, and speed while facing down a table of bowling pins in a race against time.

Did you know that the pin table depth is what determines what caliber of gun is needed for a pin match? While there isn't a central governing body, the standard table depth has been 48" for decades and requires ammo that far exceeds modern "major" power factor in any other pistol sports. The recommended power factor for tables of this design is from 190 to 205 using heavy, flat nose bullets. Because of this, calibers like 10mm Auto, .45 ACP, and .50 GI are the top choices at such events.

For Bowling Pin Blitz events, we recommend a 24" deep table. We have found that this allows for a range of modern defensive 9mm ammo to be used effectively, making our events accessible to both new and experienced shooters alike.
