🌟Employee Spotlight 🌟Shawn Green

Since joining the team in 2012, our Assistant Golf Course Superintendent has been a dependable and knowledgeable leader, playing a vital role in the daily success of our course operations. As a Certified Pesticide Applicator, he brings both expertise and attention to detail to every aspect of turf management.

He oversees scheduling, staff training, and all chemical and fertilizer applications, ensuring the course remains in top condition year-round. His ability to lead by example and share his knowledge has made him a respected mentor among the crew.

Known for being easily approachable and always wearing a friendly smile, he helps create a positive and supportive work environment that everyone appreciates.

Outside of Oaks Country Club, Shawn enjoys deer hunting, crappie fishing, and perfecting his skills on the grill—especially when it comes to barbeque and smoking ribs. Most importantly, he values spending quality time with family and friends.

🌟EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🌟 Holden Crago, known by many as Hondo, is the Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Oaks Country Club, where he has been a key part of the team since 2019. A graduate of University of Central Oklahoma with a BBA in Business Management, he also competed on the university’s men’s golf team. Known for his reliability and positive attitude, Hondo is adored by his fellow golf staff and is often the go-to person for just about anything. He has earned strong recognition across the region, including 2025 Eastern Chapter Assistant of the Year honors and multiple Section Assistant of the Year finalist nods from 2020–2024. He plays a vital role in training and mentoring staff while helping ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of work, Hondo enjoys spending time with family and friends, following sports like football, baseball, soccer, and UFC, and staying active with golf and bowling. He’s also into video games, happy hours, graphic design, and building and working on computers.
The club is incredibly grateful for Hondo’s dedication, leadership, and the positive energy he brings each day, making a lasting impact on both the team and membership.
