Sorry for the delay on the race recap from Saturday! It was definitely one of those nights where I learned a lot the hard way and struggled.

🏁 Hot Laps: 5th quick in group
🏁 Heat Race: 5th ➡️ 6th
🏁 B-Main: 3rd ➡️ 5th (top 5 transfer)
🏁 Feature: 20th ➡️ 20th

Saturday was definitely a driver-error kind of night and I will admit that. We went out for hot laps and the car felt a little slow, especially trying to get drive off the top, which put us 5th quick in my group.

That lined us up 5th in the heat. I got myself into a tough situation after getting cut off on a slide job, and I definitely had an opportunity to throw it back going into Turn 1, but I misjudged it. We ended up 6th, just one spot shy of a transfer, so that sent us to the B-Main.

Luckily, we were able to transfer through the B-Main by finishing 5th, but I just kept making little mistakes throughout the night that ended up costing us a lot of spots.

Starting 20th in the feature, I really struggled to get anything to stick. I was driving over my head trying to make something happen, picked up a few spots, but then gave them back once the lane started changing around the track. Definitely not the result we were looking for, but there’s a lot I can take away from this one and work on moving forward.

Huge thank you to my dad and everyone who continues to help make these nights possible. We’ll regroup and head to Kokomo on Friday, which may be my final race of the year. If it is, we’re already looking ahead and getting a head start on 2027… and there’s some really exciting news coming for the 2027 season! 👀🏁

Had an absolute blast last night at Red Hill Raceway! 🏁🔥

We went from P13 ➡️ P6 in the feature! The track was bad fast and so much fun to drive. It was one of those nights where I could really get on the wheel and just have fun racing the car.

We were knocking on the door of a top 5, but unfortunately just ran out of laps. I also kept making the same mistake getting into Turns 1 & 2, which cost us some momentum.

Overall, I’m really happy with the night and how much we gained throughout the feature. Hopefully, when we come back to Red Hill, it’ll be our time to shine! 💪🏁

Huge thank you to everyone who makes these nights possible! And of course, a huge thank you to my dad for giving me a bad fast racecar all night and always working his butt off to keep this thing going.

Also gotta thank Alfred Galedrige and Bradley Galedrige for helping us out with our fueling issues and everything else throughout the night. Really appreciate you guys jumping in and helping us out!

Ashlea Albertson Memorial Race 💜

Thank you so much to the entire Albertson family for allowing me to be a part of this incredible Legacy Program in memory of Ashlea. It truly means more than I can put into words to have the opportunity to carry her name and honor the legacy she left behind.

I’ll forever be proud to race and do my part to keep Ashlea’s legacy alive every time I hit the track.

Even though we’ve been out of the car for two weekends now, the work doesn’t stop. 💪🏁 Bicep & tricep day today — getting stronger, staying sharp, and putting in the work off the track to get ready for the next one.

We’ll be sitting this weekend out due to a scheduling conflict, but I’ll be back in the car next Saturday at Red Hill with the Huntleys Hoosier Winged Sprint Series.

LPS Recap

Hot Laps/Qualifying: 6th out of 8 in our group
Heat Race: 6th ➡️ 7th
Feature: 20th ➡️ 11th

We started the night off qualifying 6th in our group, which was a very strong group of cars. Unfortunately, qualifying didn’t go exactly as planned. I got caught up behind two cars battling, which made it difficult to get a clean, fast lap in.

In the heat race, we went from 6th to 7th. The car was definitely down on power, but I did my best to make do with what we had. At first, I thought the issues in the heat race were driver error, but Dad noticed there was something off with the motor. As soon as I pulled in after the heat, we went straight to work trying to figure out what was going on. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the main issue.

By the time the feature rolled around, we were still down on power, and the car really struggled to take off on restarts. Starting 20th, I was able to work my way up to 9th at one point before eventually finishing 11th.

We definitely had a better car than an 11th-place finish. I just didn’t realize soon enough how much better the car was working on the top than it was on the bottom. That’s something I’ll learn from and carry with me into the next one.

It’s frustrating knowing we were able to go from 20th to 9th and then give a few spots back by not running the better line. Every night gives me something new to learn.
Hopefully, this week we can finally get all the bugs worked out of this motor.
