District 1 & 9 are conducting an Unfair Labor Practice Strike. It began this morning @ 7am, & will run for 2 days. Just. D3 has reached a TA.

Company response to District 9 walkout today via the New York times.

Workers have been further incensed by remarks made in a memo from an AT&T executive, Betsy Farrell. In the memo, obtained by the Times, Farrell writes that when workers leave their jobs, "The company doesn't suffer. In fact, these actions help us financially when we don't pay you."

Congratulations to Cliff Bell, Scott Campbell, Dezeray Edwards, Deanna Picard, and Lari Teague who have completed all of their Stewards training and are now officially CWA 6012 stewards for the 11th and 12th floors. Wear RED tomorrow!!

Happy pay raise day! Remember, our pay goes up today because we, CWA members, fought for it. Not because the company gave it to us out of the goodness of their hearts. In less than one year we will be fighting again. Are you ready?

Update from the CWA District 6 Convention-

I am happy to announce that our Bargaining Team for our 2013 contract negotiations was democratically elected today. The team of 6 includes 2 service reps and our very own local president, Chad Barnhill. I am confident that with this representation our issues as leveraged reps and service reps will be taken seriously.

Be ready to mobilize in the coming months as we quickly approach our contract expiration next April 7th. I am ready to fight and know my Union brothers & sisters are ready too.
