Tulsa Shootout 2026 photo dump. What a great time!

With some down time before start of the season, we’re taking the opportunity to engage with The Little Speed Shoppe to improve Asher’s safety two-fold with the installation of the system from XCGear in combination with the molded seat insert. I’ve been eyeing the Monkey Bars all year as TLSS showcased the system and the G-Force reducing support data accompanying it. If anyone is interested, Monkey Bars are a 4-6 week lead time so gotta get yours ordered in advance.
Of course, I’ve seen their time-tested seat inserts since Quarter Midgets but always seemed to be in the back of my mind as a “nice to have” or “add to the want list.” However, after Asher’s crash at the Fall Brawl leaving him with a headache that night into the next morning, those systems moved to the forefront and I sure appreciate TLSS reminding me. 😊 It can be challenging keeping up with safety equipment (and non-race gear) with these kiddos growing and going so fast from Quarter Midgets to Micros. Fortunately, we’re installing two systems that grow with him and retain their benefits. Considering how young these kids move into and through motorsports, gotta take care of those spines and brains for the long term. Besides, it’s a lot cheaper than hospital bills and physical therapy if we can reduce those chances.
For folks coming in with those fast growing kiddos, learn from us, check that seat fitment often through the season. Make sure their head and shoulders are where they are supposed to be in that seat. Asher grew so much from the initial start of running the micro in October 2024 to early season in 2025, he outgrew his seat before we could realize and lucky we didn’t end up in a bad situation and had some knowledgeable folks looking out for us. 😊
Next on the list is cushion upgrade in that halo.

2026 Tulsa Shootout is in the books! Asher’s C-Main run was much more fruitful moving up two spots and finishing 8th. Considering the last few months, we’ll take it! Setup was in and motor running great over the previous heat race. Great spot to bring in the new season. Congrats to Logan Moreno Racing on the win!! Well deserved!

What a fun and exciting return this year and sorely missing our founding member! Once again, so many friends and family supporting us near and far and having a blast!

Not quite a “Throwback Thursday” but more like a “Blast from the Past” in honor of Grandpa’s infamous interview with up and coming driver, Asher Bailey, at the 2021 TQMA Memorial Day weekend 2-Day show and 2026 Tulsa Shootout. I’d say Asher’s grown a little since then. 😁

Looking like 2:20-2:30PM for Ash’s race! Got some ground to makeup for the transfer. Let’s go!

Asher is set for race 345 of C4 tomorrow, Friday. I am guessing between 2:30-4:30pm. Fingers crossed on a better setup and good run. We’ll be in here early tomorrow morning for engine heats and a lot of waiting. 😎

Thank you to everyone for all of the cheering and support today at the track and from afar! Truly love it.
The heat didn’t go as smooth as we hoped struggling with setup for the track conditions and falling to the back. But the car is all good, intact, and ready to continue racing. We’ll find out where Ash lands for Friday’s lower main races.

On a sincere note, we had the privilege of adding a very special memento to our car for a very special lady. We love you Jaclyn Sellers and miss you!

And the best part of all so far has been all of the fun, conversations, cheering, and wrenching with friends and new friends.

Ash hits the track tomorrow, Wednesday, afternoon for Restricted Heat race 177. Looking forward to some good racing and hopefully start the new year in the upper mains!
