Well this is definitely not the post I wanted to be putting out there thats for sure.
Yesterday we went to the expo to run practice were scheduled for group 14 but when pushing back found the rotor was touching seat so after a little panel beating we were clear of it so pushed out in a later group went to fire of and car stopped got second push but my right leg become cold and realise I had a loose fuel fitting so pushed back up ramp tightened fitting and then was pushed straight back down to join the group. Pushed of and it fire and ran when we got the green stood on the gas and she took off but sounded like we had a miss or blocked injector but it ran did the 4 last of practice. Once back in pits spoke to couple reputable people and did what they suggested removed rocker cover and checked rockers nothing broken or come off checked injectors they weren't bad removed hi-speed, main and secondaries and thanks to Bubba Hahn for testing the pressures for me which were fine. Put it all back together moved car to clean and found coolant on the ground under the air cleaner so removed air cleaner and found more coolant spoke to Kade Morton who told us to remove injector to check for any damage in the port so we did and on inspection we found our problem hiding in cylinder 2. Unfortunately we found a broken valve and the head of the valve was pushed back inside the port.
We made plans to get the spare head at Rick's shop brought down but unfortunately after a photo and consulting Brian from Esslinger the spare head was not the same configuration as the engine we have in the car. So unfortunately had to make to tough choice to pull out of the 2026 Chili Bowl due to a broken Valve.
First and foremost I have to thank Rick Horn for the opportunity to get back in a car inside the expo centre this guy has a heart of gold and is just so supportive of the the little guy.
I also need to thank Brendon Wisley without this young man there is no way I would have even got the car to the expo mate thank u for fitting me in to the hectic busy schedule u have at the moment.(P.S this young man is also wheel man himself and honestly deserves a chance to run a Spike Toyota combo he would drive the wheels off it if he got the opportunity).
Next I would like to thank thos who have continued to support me and encourage me to get back in the seat after 2 years nearly since the last drive I had people Blake Hahn, Dalton Seigler my family and friends both here in America and back in Australia.
I would like to thank next all those who were on the car massive thanks to Robbie Skipper from Show-Me-Synthetics AMSOIL INC. for believing in me and give me a chance and hope to continue to build a partnership with u and ur brand. Paul Solomon from DirtXInd for the continued support and Bill Roberts for the knowledge shared.
Rick Horn from Rick Horn Racing for the opportunity as well as thanks to SHC Racing for there continued support of my racing and everyone else that are in Rick's cars.
David Zampierin from Zamp Racing for supplying top quilt helmets for our protection. Fiona Hush from Highline Racewear for getting the art work sorted for me to have printed over here and thanks to Brad Best from Best Graphics for printing the art work for me.
I also want to thank all those people from other teams who offered assistance to us if we were needing It to help get us back out there truly appreciate it.
I feel blessed to have meet so many amazing people in that building in the last 4 years of attending this event I know that I can turn to someone in there who will help with the info needed or parts or they know who to speak with for what I need. Chili Bowl an event like no other.

Well its been no secret we have not posted alot as i have been just working heaps like normal which makes it hard to be able to get everything sorted for the sprintcar.
But on a brighter note even tho it's been sometime since I have been the nut connecting steering wheel to the seat I have submitted my nomination for the 40th running of the Chili Bowl Nationals.
I had originally lined up a drive with a great family team out of Texas but with work having some slow patches for a couple of months I had to step away from that opportunity due to finances which wasnt easy as I see that team as family after the way they have welcome me in each year and I do hope the opportunity comes along again one day.
After talking with a few friends and letting them know the situation i have been lucky enough for another very good friend offer me the opportunity to still compete in this coming chili bowl. I want to thank Rick Horn from Rick Horn Racing for the opportunity to once again compete at the chili bowl but also be able to race in front of my parents for the first time since leaving Australia as they will be here to attend there first chili bowl
I will be piloting the 41AU Esslinger powered Ripper Chassis that has been designed by my own brother Jayden Murdie
Once again a massive thank you to Rick and his team. I would also like to thank the Hawkins Family for everything they do for me at chili bowl each year and the hospitality they shown me and I will stand by it there is nothing like southern hospitality.

Well we have been a little quiet of late but thats due to work and being away all the time.
But we have not been doing nothing we have been doing little bits here and there.
Got some more parts in thanks to Paul at DirtXInd
With some new front hubs which I cant wait to put on the car.
Also have stripped the car down read to go to Finish Line Coatings for Terry to clean up and make all fresh again for us.
Cant thank these guys enough for there dedication and support of the sport and for fitting me into there time to help get me back out there racing again.
07/22/2025
Well we added another member to the stable yesterday.
Can't thank the family back home for there support in getting this dream off the ground over here.
Still have a bit of work to do with getting it cleaned up and getting parts serviced and fresh but we will get there.
Still chasing sponsors so if anyone knows of someone wanting to get there name out feel free to give my details over every little bit helps.
Big thanks to everyone who has already supported me with this venture since moving to Oklahoma

Well here i am at 11pm at work in Nevada wondering if this dream will ever come true especially with the fact that I have gone back to square one and having to make all those relationships with people who could potentially be partners in the team.
Yes unfortunately I don't get to race that often well have not been in a car in 12 months and could be another season before I am back in a car while I get this chassis rebuilt which couldn't of happened with out the support of Rick Horn whonhas lent us a chassis and a rear end Rick is by far one of the kindest big hearted people i have had the pleasure of meeting which would never have happened without the introduction from Garland Risner thank you.
While I have no financial backing from any companies it will take time to get the car rebuilt I have had other teams like Blake Hahn Racing and Noah Gass racing offer me good second hand parts that I am looking at purchasing to get the ball rolling on this rebuild and I couldnt thank these guys enough for the help and support to get back on track.
Brendan Wisley ur support has been amazing with who to speak to for things and where to find things.
Paul and Bill at DirtX Industries for the help with getting me the new shocks sent over from back home in Australia and the quick turn around on getting some new hubs for the front end that will be build shortly u guys have been amazing.
So if anyone in the tulsa area or anywhere really knows of anyone who would be keen to help out a guy just wanting to LIVE THE DREAM please let me know and also looking for someone who can do some graphic work if that is the whole job or even just printing it any recommendations will be appreciated.
Hope to see everyone track side soon.
