It is with a heavy heart that I address you, my running and racing family. I recently received a call from the folks at runDisney informing me that there is some reorganizing and restructuring happening there and, as I was already aware, a new show director had been hired to replace John Phelan who retired about a year ago. The gentlemen I spoke with went on to explain that I would not be hired for future events and that my work and contributions to runDisney were greatly appreciated.

My experience with runDisney has been an incredible adventure and the absolute best part of the journey has been all the fabulous people I have met along the way. So many of you have become so much more than a pre race shout out or name on the computer screen at the finish line. I know that I will continue to see lots of you at races across the country and I can’t wait for that opportunity. Until we meet again, please know that each and every one of you have made a difference to me and I wish you nothing less than the very best in all your running, racing and in life!
