"FIGHTING THROUGH INJURY & ILLNESS BRINGS HOPE & INSPIRATION"

Leslie's fitness journey spans across ten years. Pregnancy, bulging discs and Lupus. Consistency is at the core of her success but it isn't the physical results that keep her at the gym; it's the mental wellness that her workouts bring.

Leslie started lifting in 2007 after having her oldest child. She worked for seven years as a wellness coach in Nashville and naturally she stayed consistent with her own training. Within a year, she was facing issues with bulging discs but her dedication kept her in the gym training around her injury.

After healing from the back injury, Leslie was blessed with another child in 2010. With her physicians consent and some limitations, Leslie faithfully pushed forward with her training throughout her pregnancy. At that point, she had become motivation for other women. Especially those who knew the whole story. The fact is this was actually her third pregnancy, her 1st angel was stillborn at 9 months.

Then the diagnosis came that changed her life and her WHY. Leslie was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE). Lupus flare ups have been a common theme, at times keeping her out of the gym for weeks and causing her to lose 10-20 pounds but she kept coming back. Leslie believes that her fitness has helped her battle Lupus.

Leslie joined Premiere Athletix on February 19, 2016. She likes the support she gets from her gym family. "It's always nice to have not seen someone in a week and they ask about me or my health." Even on days when it's hard to get out of bed, she pushes through because she believes working out helps to clear your mind and makes you feel better. We couldn't agree with her more and all of us at Premiere are inspired by her commitment and discipline.

We are ALL training for something. Everybody is going to have setbacks. Consistency is key and it certainly shows with Leslie. Leslie looks great despite her battles and is often asked what she is training for. She keeps her long story short and simple and is quick to respond.... LIFE.

Very effective exercise to hit the inner and outer legs. A lot of individuals have asked me how to hit this area of the legs when the equipment isn't available. Make sure chest is nice and upright and toes and knees stay in alignment as u drop down into the squat..
