Hey UC, are you ready for fun activity #2 ?? It will be announced tomorrow morning, it's going to be a challenge!!

Hey Union City, it's the beginning of August and time to throw some fun activities into the mix leading up to our 65th Homecoming on September 18th and 19th! First Activity: Beginning August 3rd, if you have a beautiful baby up to the age of 2 (Birthday before 9/18/26) you can register your child for the Cutest Baby Contest being sponsored by the Alumni Association. Registration forms with all the contest information can be picked up at the Union City Library until August 21st. Voting will run from August 28th through September 14th. 1 cent = 1 vote, most votes win!! And what can you win? First place, $125.00, second place $75.00. Both winners will be invited to ride through the Homecoming parade with their parents.

The ducks are going swimming tomorrow morning at 9:00 am down mighty Bentley Run in Caflisch Park. Watch for a post naming who the 3 winners are. Proceeds from this Duck Derby will be going toward a scholarship at UCAHS for a graduate who wants to attend a trade school.

John Hanley, Class of 1969, has become the first person in America to have a robotic lung transplant. It was done at Cleveland Clinic. Happy to say he is recuperating and doing well. Keep him in your prayers.

Congratulations to Suzan Arlet, the winner of our Duck Basket!! And Thank You to the Parkhurst's who provided the basket. It caught a lot of attention at the French Creek Festival, helping sell a lot of tickets for the Duck Derby next Saturday!!

Great fun meeting and greeting alumni today at the French Creek festival. We still have some Duck Derby tickets available, so come see us at the festival tomorrow. Remember, the fireworks start at dusk tomorrow night!!

The Duck Derby is coming up on July 18th. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, come see us at the French Creek Festival. And at the end of the festival we will be drawing the winner of the adorable Duck Derby basket. If you have bought a Duck Derby ticket, you name has been automatically entered on the basket!!
