Great projects are built on strong partnerships.

As President & Executive Director of Franklin County Sports Club, one of my highest priorities is aligning our organization with local leaders who share our commitment to youth development and community infrastructure. Excelsior Engineering is a perfect example of that vision in action.

Their technical expertise in surveying, topo mapping, and field design laid the literal foundation for New Haven’s first full-size grass pitch. In recognition for their in-kind engineering contribution, we are honored to welcome Excelsior Engineering as an official Diamond Sponsor through the 2028/2029 season.

Building sustainable sports infrastructure takes a village, and we are fortunate to have EE in ours.

This is what player development looks like. 💙 ⚽️

93°F.
1:00 PM kickoff.
10 players.
No substitutes.
And across from us? An SLSG team competing in the SLYSA Premier division with a full bench.

We conceded just one goal in the first half and two in the second. But the scoreline doesn’t tell the story.
Our girls created chances. They fought for every ball. They pushed through fatigue, heat, and exhaustion. They gave everything they had—and then somehow found a little more.

And before the game, Captain Aubree led the team in prayer. 🙏

That moment in this picture is something I’ll remember for a long time.

Keira, recovering from injury, was right there on the bench cheering her teammates on. Assistant Coach Sam and I could only stand back in awe of what these girls were giving us.

This is player development.

It’s not always about winning. It’s about learning how to compete when circumstances aren’t in your favor. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of when your body is telling you that you’ve had enough.

Today, these girls discovered a little more about themselves.

I’m incredibly proud of every one of them.

And above everything else, God was with us. 🙏

The scoreboard said 0–3.

But the growth? That was a victory. Franklin County Sports Club ⚽️

"Soccer can change lives spiritually, academically, and economically." ⚽✨

As sports leaders, our responsibility doesn't stop at our local touchlines. In our latest podcast clip, Eric Waiswa shares why founding Messiah FC in Uganda was about building community resilience through sport.

Honored to lead Franklin County Sports Club in this international partnership. Give it a watch! 👇

Leadership in youth sports means leading by example—both on our local fields and far beyond them. ⚽🌍

I’m thrilled to announce our official international club development partnership with Messiah Football Club in Jinja, Uganda! Under the leadership of Eric Waisswa, Messiah FC serves as a vital community hub, supporting youth through sports evangelism, education, and physical well-being.

When Messiah FC lost their primary support system, Franklin County Sports Club stepped up to bridge the gap. We are proud to be the first sports club in Franklin County to pioneer an international development model, sending recurring shipments of soccer equipment and delivering direct coaching development guidance to support their long-term growth.

Our goal isn't just to develop better athletes—it's to raise better human beings and show our players what true community looks like on a global scale.

119 players. 10 competitive teams. Our biggest year yet at Franklin County Sports Club! 📈⚽

Going from 8 teams during our inaugural year to 10 teams and 119 athletes this season—selected out of 328 tryout participants—is a massive testament to the strength and demand of youth sports in our community. Launching our first-ever high school girls team (U16 Riptide Girls) marks an incredible milestone for local player pathways.

Huge thank you to our title partner, Bank of Washington, and every family building this club with us. Head to the blog link below to see the complete roster breakdown, and join me in wishing all 10 teams the best of luck this season!

Leading my first U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Grassroots 11v11 In-Person Course this past weekend was an incredible experience. ⚽️💡

Huge thank you to Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and new Director of Coaching Chris McGill for the opportunity to step into this role. A special shoutout as well to my mentor, Coach Educator Mike Quante, for his continuous guidance throughout the USSF Coach Educator License journey. Big shoutout to my USSF Coach Educator Developer Michael Chin for his leadership and belief since the beginning.

We had a room full of dedicated coaches—from grassroots, competitive, high school, and college levels—all showing up on a Saturday afternoon with one goal: to get better for their players. Appreciate Coach Caleb Killian (High School Boys & Girls Coach out of Jackson, MO) for reaching out afterward with such kind words.

When coaches commit to learning, players win. Excited for everything this cohort will bring back to their teams this fall and spring! 🙌
