It’s hard to stay active even when you have significant back pain, significant scoliosis, and are recovering from a recent spinal surgery.

Well that’s exactly how my client “RR” came to me.

She was nervous about moving and had really been through the ringer with pain, surgery, and a long list of physical therapists, OT’s bodyworkers, and chiropractors.

It’s probably been about 18 months now that RR has been coming into the studio for weekly sessions.

This past week I was literally doing fist pumps in the air with the amount of progress that she’s making.

It has not been an easy journey but looking back she has been able to

Stopped relying on pain killers daily
Built significant strength
Improved her posture and is maintaining better alignment
Feels confident enough to work out at home on her own now
Stopped wearing a spinal brace

Now, are you fist pumping as much as I was the other day?

The image of folding in half like a yoga model somehow became the golden standard of flexibility for a while back in 2005.

Back then it was common to think:

More flexibility is better and static stretching works

Well, most of us are now aware that static stretching has been debunked and is not actually a functional way to gain mobility, and that’s especially true if you suffer from back pain or stiff/achey hips.

Still, I’m surprised by how many clients come into the studio practicing static stretches.

When you combine cutting edge knowledge of movement science with the support and feedback from the pilates equipment you get something beautiful:

A functional and safe way to gain mobility and freedom in your hips that translates to better strength and mobility in everyday activities.

Because when you stretch your hips in a functional way it actually helps to create more strength at the same time! And this combination of strength and mobility in the hips is what often is the missing link with achy back pain (and hip pain!)

We’ve just launched a tasty new offer for you,

It’s called The Small Group Kickstarter

You get two private sessions and 2 small group classes, all for $269. That is a way better deal than the full price of $338.

We currently have limited capacity to offer private sessions, so therefore we only have 3 of these packages available.

Just 3. When they’re gone they’re gone.

Grab yours today.

I’ve been physically active since childhood, hiking, horseback riding, collegiate rowing, and eventually professional aerial circus. For over a decade, I was driven by both passion and the pressure to perform.

Then everything changed. A trapeze accident left me with a herniated disc in my neck. Two years later, I tore my ACL. What followed was a 10-year journey of chronic pain, rehab, and multiple health challenges.

I stepped away from performing and began teaching yoga and Pilates, believing they were superior to traditional gym training. I trained with top instructors and thought I was on the right path, but I was still in pain and kept getting injured. I knew something was missing.

That changed when I discovered Anatomy in Motion (AiM), a system that uses walking biomechanics to restore functional movement. It gave me a science-based roadmap for corrective exercise. I went on to earn my personal training certification, became a strength and conditioning coach, and pursued advanced training in injuries, pathologies, and scoliosis.

By combining corrective movement with targeted strength training, I finally broke the cycle of pain and re-injury. That experience led me to create Limber Arts. This is a space that feels calm and welcoming like a yoga studio, but is grounded in science.
Today, I’m pain-free and dedicated to helping you achieve the same so that you can feel both strong and limber again.
