📡 Mission Control is searching for our next Community Mission Partner!

Our River Rover Crew is on a mission to explore Wyoming’s waterways, document public access points, verify float times, promote river safety, and build a free resource for our communities.

But we know the best adventures happen when local people share what they love.

Who should our Crew learn from next?

We’re looking for community members, businesses, clubs, and organizations that would enjoy sharing their passion with our explorers.

Maybe you:
🎣 Fly fish the Platte.
🛶 Love to kayak.
🦅 Know where to spot wildlife.
📸 Enjoy nature photography.
🌿 Teach about native plants.
🚒 Work in water safety or emergency response.
🏕️ Love camping and outdoor skills.
🥾 Know the best local trails.

You don’t have to donate money or equipment—we’re simply looking for people who believe that adventure, learning, and community are better when shared.

🚀 MISSION TRANSMISSION // ET RIVER ROVER // LOG 001

Houston…we have a river. 🌊

For years we’ve heard the same question:

“How long does it take to float from Robertson to Watco?”

The truth is…there isn’t one complete, easy-to-use resource for Wyoming’s rivers.

So we’re building one.

Introducing the ET River Rover—a new mission from ET Community Services & Advocacy. (Although after this summer, we may have to consider changing the name to ET Adventures. 😄)

But this mission is about more than maps.

Throughout the summer, our participants will join us as we explore Wyoming’s waterways, document public access points, verify float times, identify hazards, and learn what it means to Respect the River.

Every adventure is an opportunity to build confidence, practice outdoor skills, explore our communities, and experience places many people have never seen from the water.

Because every river has something to teach us:
🌊 Respect the water.
🦺 Wear your life jacket.
🗺️ Know your route.
♻️ Leave it better than you found it.
🤝 Look out for one another.

📍 Mission 001: Casper Float Times

🛶 Robertson Road ➜ Paradise Valley Park
⏱️ Approximately 35–45 minutes

🛶 Paradise Valley Park ➜ Morad Park
⏱️ Approximately 40–60 minutes

🛶 Morad Park ➜ Mills Bridge
⏱️ Approximately 45–60 minutes

These times reflect typical summer recreational floats and may vary depending on river flow, wind, and how often you stop along the way.

🚀 Next Mission: Converse County.

We’ll begin exploring and documenting local stretches of the North Platte River to create a free community resource for everyone who loves spending time on the water.

If you’ve floated a section of the river and have tips, estimated times, or safety information to share, we’d love to hear from you. Community knowledge will help make this guide stronger, safer, and more accurate for everyone.

Summer meal program for students

Meals will be served onsite at the following locations from June 1st to August 21st.

Boys and Girls Club – Main Branch 1701 East K, Casper, WY 82601

· Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

· Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Casper Recreation Center 1801 East 4th St., Casper, WY 82601

· Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

· Snack: 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

YMCA of Natrona County 1611 Casper Mountain Rd., Casper, WY 82601

· Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

· Snack: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

NCSD’s Food Services Summer program will provide free meals to children ages 18 and under this summer. No registration or identification is required. Meals must be consumed onsite at each participating location.
