I spent most of my life unable to do a backbend. I thought I just wasn’t flexible enough and doomed myself thinking it wasn’t a capacity my body had.
The reality was, I was holding a lot of tension in my upper body, had poor posture that rounded my shoulders forward, and my shoulders didn’t have the strength to hold me up.
Here I am now, doing what I thought was impossible. Letting others know they can to!

I’ve been consistently working on myself physically, mentally, & emotionally for 7 months now. During this time I have made great progress, yet I’ve also experienced plenty of setbacks.
But guess what? That’s part of healing. That’s part of the wellness journey. That’s part of being human.
I’ve learned…I’m not striving for perfection. I’m working towards consistency. Lifestyle changes. Creating new habits. Rewiring my mindset. Healing trauma. Facing my emotions. No longer running, suppressing, or resisting. And most importantly giving myself Grace through it all.
It takes time to see progress. It is up to us to hold that vision of who we want to be and the life we want to create because we will be tested. We will want to give in and take the easy route. None of us are built for this. We have to become it!
It takes knowing our WHY. Believing in ourselves. Getting back up no matter how many times we fall and trying again. Eliminating the negative self talk. Focusing on empowering ourselves.
It takes creating an environment that’s conducive to what we want to see in our reality. Hanging out with like minded people. Being selective of what we watch, listen to, and surround ourselves with as it all has an incredible impact on our behaviors.
My advice, keep going. Keep showing up even when you lack willpower or motivation. You are your greatest investment 💪🏼💋🙌

Come join and me for a beautiful Nidra meditation and sound bath. We will be focusing on renewal and spring time vibes right after the Spring Equinox.
Yoga Nidra is “yogic sleep”, a guided yoga practice that helps create a deep state of mental and physical relaxation with a deep state of awareness.
A sound bath meditation is a meditation for the nervous system. Vibrations from the instruments creating deeper states of consciousness for mental and physical well being, peace, and relaxation. This is a class favorite.
