Running for the Heart 5K Run/Walk

Who’s joining me in this year's Crescent City Classic Saturday, March 30th at 8am on behalf of Heart N Hands New Orleans? ♥️ Heart N Hands is a 10-year nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering, raising awareness and educating girls aged 10-18 about heart health & heart disease prevention. The organization strategically focuses on fighting the no. 1 killer of women - heart disease by providing wellness programs for girls and families that create generational health and make a significant impact in our community.

I am running with Heart N Hands in support of women living with or at risk for heart disease. Please join me in supporting the heart health of girls through Heart N Hands innovative, interactive programming. 🏃🏽‍♀️

The Why:
1. Only 56% of women know that heart disease is their #1 threat
2. Meanwhile, nearly half (44%) of women are living with some form of heart disease in the U.S.
3. Heart disease accounts for 1/3 of maternal deaths
4. Only 38% of participants in clinical cardiovascular trials are women
5. 80% of heart disease is PREVENTABLE!

Current programs include: “Love Your Heart” Wellness Program, Community Health & Fitness programs, Running for the Heart 5K/10K, “Know Your Four” Campaign (highlighting prevention measures and key risk factors for heart disease), Scholarship Fund for high school senior girls, and several customized programs that address the critical impact of heart disease facing girls and women.

Crescent City Classic 10k The Crescent City Classic 10k is on Saturday March 30, 2024. It includes the following events: 10K General Registration, Run For It Charity Registration, Virtual 10K General Registration, and Virtual Run For It Charity Registration.
