The gym equipment has been moved to our temporary location and it's ready for you!
📍Our temporary location is at the YWCA Best Choice Learning Center, located at 1031 Highland Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
🏋 We have most, but not all of our fitness equipment at the temporary location. All of our fitness equipment will be available once we move into our permanent location.
🏃‍♀️Our group exercise classes have not stopped, and our current class schedule has not changed. Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. The focus is "Changing the Narrative on Su***de”, which focuses on shifting from silence and misunderstanding to empathy, support, and proactive intervention.

Key Facts 📍
- Su***de is the leading cause of death among young people, particularly men under 45, and rates among teenage girls and young women are rising
- Small interventions, even by strangers, can significantly interrupt suicidal thoughts and save lives
- World Su***de Prevention Day is a reminder that every life lost is preventable, and collective action, awareness, and compassion can make a meaningful difference in su***de prevention globally

How to Participate 💙
- Raise awareness by sharing educational materials and social media graphics
- Support someone at risk by listening, showing empathy, and encouraging professional help
- Promote safe conversations in workplaces, schools, and communities to reduce stigma
- Engage with organizations like IASP, WHO, Samaritans, and Mind to access resources and
volunteer opportunities

Program starts Monday, September 14th.

Research shows older adults of any ability level can improve their walking distance and balance. This 12-week program can be a game changer!

Free with YWCA membership or $5 per session for non-members
