We are always blown away by Sony | Alpha’s high-resolution a7R series cameras, and the 2026 Sony a7R VI is no exception. It ended up being the perfect camera to capture the shocking colors and low light details when scuba diving the dozens of underwater shipwrecks of Truk Lagoon, Micronesia.
Nirupam Nigam of Bluewater Photo & Scuba came back with some insane footage using the a7R VI in our 200DL Underwater Housing.

Choosing the right shutter speed when shooting sharks is the most important factor to getting a sharp image, especially on dynamic and fast-moving sharks.
Shutter speeds for natural light: 1/800 - 1/1000
Shutter speeds with strobes: 1/160 - 1/200
