Decreased stability needs plays a large role in output. This is where exercise selection and exercise order come in play. As you you begin to fatigue placing exercises with low stability needs allows for higher output. A standing db lateral raise will require more internal stability needs let’s say compared to this exercise which is a seated lateral raise machine.

As this is the third exercise in my exercise rotation looking for exercises with lower stability needs becomes a priority.

Make sure you chose your exercises based on actual needs not novelty.

Up 1.5 reps from last week. .5 rep short of top end of rep range. Once I hit my goal I will push this exercise to 2nd position in my rotation.

This will inadvertently lower the total load I will be able to do but will give me another progression to work up on. Exercise order and loading can be a progressive stimulus.

Stay the course…..

Progress over the last 3 months for . He has worked with other coaches before but never quite got the results he was looking for. He reached out for some coaching and right away knew we were going to have some obstacles.

-high stress job and work environment
- shift work which disrupts C. Rhythm and cortisol and other hormones
- additional life stress (getting and planning a wedding).
- short window of time (this is where expectations needed to be set).

More often than not our clients come to us with unreal expectations or lack the knowledge on the process and how long it actually take to see results without sacrificing health. It’s our job as coaches to lay it out there and set realistic outcomes.

After setting those and adhering to the plan to the best of his current capacity( 100% looks different to every person) 12 week later we are down 12 lbs and in his words, “the best he’s looked yet.”

We still have 3 months to go until the wedding but we pulled into maintenance while he attends his bachelor party and will hit the ground running after.

Communication, setting expectations, creating a plan based off of needs and limitations will ultimately lead to success.

I would like to announce joining .forever as Director Of Training! He also will be the guy tasked to open and run Iron House 2 next year!

As a leader I am always looking for individuals who can take things further than I ever could. Who are smarter, more driven, and more competitive than I am; Jason is those 3 along with all the deficits I have, he shores up.

To say I am lucky to have this man want to move 500+ miles to help me achieve something we both now believe in is something I beyond humbled in even typing.

Jason, thank you for believing in me and the vision , , , along with the others have in what we are chasing.

family please welcome Jason and his girlfriend when they move here in September.

Welcome home to the 615 Jason and Trina!

Everything we do as trainers and coaches are for the moments when our clients turn that corner, hit their stride and it begins to click. M O R G A N R O L L I N S] progress has been great to watch. Not only as client but as a coach herself. Thank you for the kind words 🙏

You can compare these pics taken 16weeks apart and say that the level of dedication changed….when actually the dedication has always been there.

What changed the game is the one leading it.

I could only be as good as the person I was following. Lucky for me I found a GREAT one. Not just someone who copies and pastes protocols and diets but someone who has taken my obsession with this lifestyle and turned it into an educated process. I’ve had more body composition changes in the last 4months than I’ve had in 4yrs

I lift smarter (this is where he shines)
Zero cardio vs 6 days a week
310carbs on training days now vs 130carbs then
Hormones are lovely, cycle is restored (yay for feeling like a girl 💕)

All to say, you can be dedicated AF but if the one leading you doesn’t know what they’re doing than the results will never be this ^^

Thank you for being one of the BEST there is 🔥

In order to progress we must create a strong enough stimulus to do so. Sometimes we may go weeks without progressing a rep or even load. Does that mean it’s time to scrap the entire exercise or program? Maybe or maybe not, it depends.

One tool I use are ROM & Overload waves: This is usually used to drive progression in a movement and or exercise when stalled.

Start your wave with the largest rang of motion and our preferred starting intensity level. Then you auto-regulate load, reps, and rom. The goal is to work towards the most limited (smaller rom) and use the most load there (overload).

After overloading this movement and in a smaller ROM you have hopefully touched new load creating a new stimulus and adaptation.

When you then return to your full ROM exercise you can now take that new neurological adaptation and apply it by using more load in the largest ROM.

The key 🔑 is changing the ROM and overloading not progressing load, that’s just a benefit.

NEW Banded Lat Warm-Up:

The more we learn to use our torso as a driver of movement, not muscle action, the less we have to focus on moving the extremities and can focus more on muscle action. The two are not the same.

For example many start out a row by pulling the arm, but as you’ll see as an example in the video by keeping active tension in the lat and then driving movement via my torso the lat can drive more intent through muscle contraction and less extremity movement bc the torso is bringing the lat into position.

Learning to train muscle groups as part of an entire system vs individualized units will go along way with joint integrity and tissue health.

If nothing else, watch the video, do the warm-up, train hard.
