People lose weight, the scale goes down, but their body doesn’t actually look or feel the way they expected.

Why?
Because they lost weight without building muscle.
So now:
Their Body fat is still high
Their muscle mass is low

And worse, in many cases, there’s an increase in visceral fat which is a real long-term health risk.

– Little to no resistance training

Everyone is talking about GLP-1 weight loss injections but almost no one is talking about what’s happening to your muscle while on them.

Yes, these medications can be life changing for people dealing with obesity and diabetes. But if you’re using them just for weight loss and you’re not strength training and following a proper nutrition program, you could be losing a SIGNIFICANT amount of muscle. The effects of which could include:

– Slower metabolism
– Decreased strength
– Looking “skinny” but not at all healthy
– Higher chance of gaining the weight back

While taking these medications, it’s imperative to focus on building a strong, healthy body. This includes weight training consistently, eating enough protein and refraining from starving yourself.
