Was knocked down for a bit... but back up and going. Fortunate enough to find stuff for the home gym. Don’t have to have any fancy brand name stuff. It’d be nice, but let’s face it... it all lifts the same as long as it’s safe. So as long as the storms going on that’s what’s getting used and honestly it might be for awhile, but that’s ok. I miss more than you’ll ever know. For now I’ll be doing what I can and pushing all the people in work with to keep going. Working out does way more than just for your physical well-being. It’s just as much a benefit for your mental health too especially these days. If you need some help or have questions I’m always here for anyone!! Let’s go!!!

Sooooo..... we did some talking after posted on Facebook last night and challenged him to do the workout post from

He countered with... let’s do LENEXA. We agreed and I started using the hashtag a few days ago since it’s something new and suggested we use it for this. What started jokingly calling out... turned into this, so what’s my challenge to you?? I’ve put on the white board the moves and reps... I want to see you do them too!!! I grabbed Xander to come join me. If you have kids get them in it too!! Make it part of their PE class at home. Get moving and I want to see the videos. Tag the Rec, use the hashtag, you can even tag me if you want. Let’s show everyone just how awesome we are at the Rec. Tag a few people you either know at the Rec or friends that go there too and give them a push to get after it.

And yes... I am not good at filming this stuff so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Brandon is blowing up the numbers!!! So proud of him and all the work he puts in!!! The only workout where everything felt great. Videos are in reverse order, deads moved the way I wanted them too, and I sent it on the SSB 315x8. I wanted to play that mental game of not giving up and it felt great.

I wanna post the video, but ig keeps crashing every time I try to post it. But anyways. I wanted 500 before the end of 2018. The day after thanksgiving I said I’m going to go get it. It’s mine. I wanted it. Warm ups felt ok. Nothing was hurting or feeling abnormally heavy. I did 475. Felt a heavy. But this was pretty close to my all time max. Said I’m gonna go for it. Put 505 on the bar. I missed it multiple times before today. I got in my head and told myself.... you tell everyone else that they can do more. Buy what you are selling. 505 came up so fast it scared me. Immediately I thought that’s it I’m good. But then saw how fast it moved on video. Said “let’s go”. Put another 10lbs on. For almost a year I chased this. Through dieting down for physique and all of it. I never stopped chasing 500+. Finally broke it. 515!!! Am I happy?? Yes. Not satisfied though. 600 is mine. I’m going to fight for every pound every time I grab the bar. Never be satisfied. Always strive for more. @ Lenexa Rec Center

Met up with and for lunch today. Took the boys with too. They are always down for pizza/pasta. Always good to get to hang out even if not lifting..... somedays it’s just time to step of the gas pedal and coast. There were no leftovers left behind from my pizza..... Hope everyone has a great weekend and I know I’m ready to watch the Chiefs tomorrow night!!!

So to most people this seems very minuscule. To me this is amazing. Here’s why.... so this person started training with me about a month ago. Used to workout before kids...then became a mom.... injured her self and became a lot more sedentary. She made the decision to come start working out at Lenexa Rec Center, then decided to have a wellness assessment with me. We looked over everything and came up with a baseline to start with. Fast forward to now. Over the holidays she lost a few pounds of body fat and gained a pound of muscle. So now she does 1 day a week one on one sessions with me, 2-3 days a week weights and cardio on her own (she always tells me how she can’t feel her arms/legs after 💪🏼), and spends rest days being more active than before. Super proud of her and can’t wait to continue to get more texts like this. #

Last heavy dead lift in the books for until December 8th at United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) strong like bull powerlifting championships. This is her second meet and she’s determined to smash some PR’s..... well I can say she’s ready and going to succeed. I can’t wait to see what she’s gonna pull on the platform. Drug tested nationals are in her sights.... over the last year she has grown so much not only in strength but confidence and form. I am beyond proud of everything she has done and what she will do. I can only hope that the determination and fight she puts in her training translates to outside the gym in school and working all while doing this. Super proud of you!!!

505.... I missed it.... couldn’t lock it out. Form was... yeah. But is your form gonna be perfect/great for a pr? Probably not. Never attempted 505, but 455 went up fast and I knew I had one more good shot in me. Used straps, because I’d be pi**ed if I could actually pull it and drop it. So game plan is in place to hammer lock out and keep going with what I’ve been doing too. 505 before the end of the year is mine. I won’t fail. Lenexa Rec Center
