Anyone who finishes an event is eligible for IVV credit. We hold "fun walks" on Wednesday nights with no cost and no IVV credit. The primary categories for credit are Event Credit and Distance Credit. Event Credits are recorded for each walk completed and Distance Credits are recorded based on the number of kilometers walked in each event. At various milestones, the credits can be recorded with the American Volkssport Office for certification. Other programs (State Capitols, College Walks, etc.) AVA walks are available throughout the United States and Canada.
