It has recently come to our attention that some of our party rental practices were not working well for our families and were causing frustration and negative feelings toward the Swim Center. Confusion and frustration are the last things we want our community to experience when visiting us. We will always do what we can, within reason, to listen to concerns and make changes when appropriate. 💭
Our Leadership Team read through some recent comments online and met that same day to discuss the feedback. After a great conversation, we came to an agreement and immediately made changes to our current rental flyer and loosened some of the parameters around parties and gatherings. 🎉
We want you to celebrate with us! We want the Swim Center to be a safe and welcoming place to bring your loved ones, no matter the occasion.
With that said, if you would like to have an **informal gathering** with friends and family and bring food such as cupcakes, cake, pie, or ice cream, please do! And yes, you are absolutely allowed to sing Happy Birthday. 🎶
All we ask is that food be enjoyed in the appropriate designated areas, which include the Mezzanine when it is not privately rented, the outdoor tables in front of the facility, the outdoor deck area behind the blue line, or the grass area near the Family Pool.
If you would like to have a more **formal event** with gifts and decorations, we ask that you rent one of our designated party spaces. Our Mezzanine is available for rentals year-round, and our BBQ areas are available during the summer months. 😎
A quick clarification about the Mezzanine: It is open to the public year-round unless it has been privately rented. When it is reserved, we post the name of the party and the rental time on the whiteboard at the bottom of the stairs near the main entrance. Otherwise, you are welcome to use the Mezzanine at no charge. It is also the one area where patrons may watch swimmers without paying a facility-use fee. If you need to go down the hallways toward the locker rooms or enter any of the pool areas, a facility-use fee is required.
We hope these changes help clear up some confusion and make our processes easier for everyone to understand. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to make improvements.
As always, our community is our priority. 🤗
