Twas the night before Noble Youth, the last of the year,
Not a wrestler was sleeping, excitement was near;
Their singlets were laid by their gym bags with care,
In hopes that great matches soon would be there.
The wrestlers lay dreaming all snug in their beds,
While visions of takedowns danced in their heads;
With coaches all ready and parents in tow,
They knew come the morning, it’d be time to go.
The mats in the gym lay quiet and still,
Soon echoing whistles would sharpen their will;
The lights would shine bright on each circle of gold,
Where stories of courage and heart would be told.
Then out in the hallway, a clatter would rise,
As teams gathered early with fire in their eyes;
Warm-ups and stretches, the buzz in the air,
Each wrestler prepared for the challenge they’d share.
With handshakes and headgear, they’d step to the line,
For the last bouts of season—their moment to shine;
Win or lose, they’d give all they might,
On the mats of Noble Youth, come morning’s first light.

For our tournament tomorrow doors will be opening at 7 am with the first group of check ins closing at 8 so we can start wrestling at 8:30. Please have any 5-8 wrestlers there by 10:15 so check ins can be completed by 11:15. Girls divisions will be running simultaneously with the age brackets. If there are not enough girls in a bracket we will offer a coed bracket. Please make sure you do a skin and nail check on all wrestlers.
