I found myself at America's first mile in Fort Kent on Tuesday morning. The sky was still heavy with fog off the river, but the leaves had started to change quickly over my weekend in Aroostook County, and I knew where I wanted to go. I began my drive over to one of my favorite places in the state of Maine. I headed to Allagash. Something about this small town in the forest has always made me feel relaxed, and driving down the old country roads full of working lodge trucks brings me a sense of peace and connection to the charm of our amazing state of Maine. I knew I would only have enough time to drive there and sit by the river for a few minutes before needing to return and go back to the work that had brought me up here in the first place, but it would be worth it.
As I drove along the river's edge, winding along the farm fields and small cabins, the sky started to clear, and blue entered the sky for the first time that day. The clouds and sun started playing with the stunning colors on the turning trees when I found myself in this amazing spot on the drive and had to pull over to take it in. The sun was shining brilliantly on the mountain in the distance as the colors burst into view. I sat parked surrounded by trees and had not seen another vehicle in at least 20 minutes when I heard and felt the familiar rumble of a Maine logging truck in the distance. I had to take a few moments to share it with you all. This is fall in Maine, a time if and when you can take a drive and enjoy the cool, crisp air and the stunning colors that are all around. They will not last long, but that's what makes it special. Appreciating each moment we get is a gift, no matter where or when we are today. Until next time, Go Discover Something Awesome!!

Bye bye Greater Joy!
For as long as I can remember I have not seen things or done things the way most people do and to be honest I have no desire to start!
A few years ago I went on a mission after a fresh late December snow with the desire to capture Marshall Point Lighthouse with this nice layer of snow. I set out from Belfast enjoying the views I knew that the photo I was hoping for was less and less likely to be possible. All the snow was melting!!! Nevertheless, I found my snow but it was just melted into these amazing puddles on the boards and as I lay down hovering inches above the water I saw it!! I had found my shot! The wind was low and if I was at the right spot I could see this amazing reflection but still see the textures of the boardwalk.
This is not that shot but one of many I have taken after its a reminder to me that truly life is going to be what you make it my snow had become puddles but I have become a puddle chaser ever since!
I flipped the shot upside down because I love what it does to my brain it makes me stop and take it in and makes it feel almost unworldly.
I also am thrilled to say I am wrapping up an edit on my next adventure film with Guided Maine, PacBak and Mainely Coffee so stay tuned it’s a long one!!!
