If youâve ever thoughtâŚ
âWhy does taking care of myself suddenly feel so much harder than it used to?â
You are definitely not alone.
So many women in midlife are doing all the ârightâ things⌠trying to eat healthy, stay active, manage stress, sleep better, keep up with work, family, and life⌠and still feeling tired, frustrated, or confused by what their body needs now.
Thatâs exactly why we created Midlife Simplified.
This is a free online community chat where Registered Dietitian Byrd Schas and I will sit down for a real, honest conversation about womenâs health in midlife⌠without the overwhelm, extremes, or conflicting advice.
This monthâs topic:
Why does staying healthy feel so complicated after 40?
Weâll talk about:
⢠what weâre seeing most often with women in this stage of life
⢠why old approaches stop working
⢠simple shifts that actually support energy, strength, and overall wellbeing
⢠and weâll answer your real questions live
Weâd also love for this to feel interactive and supportive, not just another webinar.
So if thereâs a question youâve been wanting answered about:
⢠nutrition
⢠energy
⢠movement
⢠weight changes
⢠hormones
⢠motivation
⢠sleep
⢠stress
⢠or just feeling like yourself againâŚ
Drop it in the comments or send me a DM and we may answer it during the chat.
Itâs completely free, but registration is required so we can send you the link and replay.

For women over 40, change doesnât come from extremes.

And thatâs what creates real momentum.

Not just âI sleptââŚ
but âI actually have energy today.â
If your answer is âI donât rememberâ⌠youâre not alone.
I hear this all the time from women over 40.
Youâve been holding a lot.
Managing a lot.
Pushing through more than your body can keep up with.
At some point, your system starts asking for something different.
Not more effort...More support.
And often⌠that starts with sleep.
Because when your body feels rested, everything else becomes more doable.

If youâve ever laid in bed feeling completely exhaustedâŚbut your mind just wonât slow down⌠youâre not alone.
This âtired but wiredâ feeling is something I see all the time with women I work with.
It usually isnât about doing something wrong at night, or creating the "perfect" routine.
Itâs whatâs been building all day.
đConstant output.
đVery little space to come down.
So when your head hits the pillow⌠your body is still trying to catch up.
Thatâs why better sleep doesnât start at bedtime. It starts with how supported your nervous system feels throughout the day.
If this is something youâve been navigating, I share simple, practical ways to start shifting this inside my newsletter.
Nothing overwhelming⌠just small shifts that help your body actually settle.
You can join through the link in my bio.

I had a client say this to me recentlyâŚâI donât get it⌠Iâm so tired, but when I finally sit down, I canât relax.â
She wasnât talking about sleep. She meant right there⌠at the end of the day.
Sitting on the couch. House finally quiet. Nothing urgent left to do. And still⌠she felt wired, like she was "supposed" to keep going, doing more.
Almost like her body didnât know what to do with the stillness.
đHave you ever felt this way?
Where you want to relaxâŚbut your mind is still running, your body feels anxious, and you canât settle.
What we talked about was thisâŚItâs not that her body forgot how to relax.
Itâs that sheâs spent years being âđźđť.â
Taking care of everything. Pushing through. Moving from one thing to the next without much space in between.
So of course her body doesnât just switch off the moment the day ends. It hasnât had much practice.
Thatâs why I donât tell my clients to âjust try to relaxâ or âfix your sleep.â
We start by creating small moments during the day where her body can actually feel what itâs like to come down.
đThat pause for a deep breath.
Because when your body starts to trust those momentsâŚrelaxing at night becomes a lot more natural.
If this sounds familiar, please know⌠this is more common than you think. And itâs something we can retrain.
Save this for a day when your body feels like itâs still âonâ long after everything is done.

This cycle isnât about willpower.
Itâs about capacity.
When your body is tired, it canât sustain more.
But when it feels supportedâŚ
things begin to shift naturally.
I share more about this inside my weekly newsletterâlink in bio.

I hear this a lot.
And I get it.
But for women over 40, this approach often backfires.
Because your body doesnât need more pressure.
It needs space to recover.
To breathe.
To settle.
To feel supported again.
And when that happensâŚ
everything else becomes easier to follow through.
Follow for more support around sleep, energy, and strength.
