Sometimes the best things start with one person noticing a need and deciding to do something about it.

Martin LaGrande wanted to help his friend and Meadowbrook teammate Jon Englund get back to the game he loves. What started with a simple idea quickly became something that will benefit not only Jon, but golfers throughout our community who face mobility challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to the Stand Up and Play Foundation and everyone who helped bring the ParaGolfer to Meadowbrook.

Golf should be a game for everyone. We are proud to take another step toward making sure it is!

We wanted to let everyone know that after looking at the cost of the materials needed to host the scheduled Glow Ball Tournament and where the event falls on this year’s calendar, we’ve decided the best approach is to move the tournament to next season.

Holding Glow Ball earlier in the year will allow us to better position it on the schedule and put together the kind of evening golf experience we want for our players.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to bringing Glow Ball back to Meadowbrook next season.

The 2026 Meadowbrook Club Championship came down to the very end — literally.

After a rain and lightning delay, Blake Beebe and Jared Degen returned to #18 to settle the championship in a playoff. With the rain coming down and the conditions less than ideal, both players showed exactly what championship golf is about: grit, composure, and the willingness to finish the job.

Hats off to Blake Beebe, our 2026 Meadowbrook Club Champion, and to Jared Degen for an incredible battle. It takes something special to step back onto the course and compete for a championship when the weather says otherwise. Both of you represented Meadowbrook exceptionally well. 🏆

A special thank you to all of our 2026 Club Champions and everyone who competed this weekend. Winning a Club Championship is something special, and we’re proud of everyone who put their game to the test and competed with the spirit this event deserves.

A huge thank you to our golf staff for helping make the weekend run smoothly, keeping everyone informed through the weather delays, and continuing to create a great experience for everyone at Meadowbrook.

And an even bigger thank you to Arlin and our agronomy team for everything that happens behind the scenes to have Meadowbrook ready for championship golf — especially when Mother Nature decides to get involved. The work you do matters, and it certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who played, supported, cheered on friends and competitors, and helped make this such a memorable weekend.

As Head Golf Professional, I get to hear and see the compliments about course conditions every day. What golfers don’t always see are the people making it happen before sunrise and long after most have gone home.

Thank you to our outstanding agronomy and golf course maintenance team for your dedication, pride, and work ethic. You are the reason Meadowbrook continues to improve every day.

And to our seasonal crew heading back to school—thank you for giving your summer to Meadowbrook. We appreciate your hard work more than you know, and we wish you all the best this school year.

The golf course doesn’t take care of itself. It takes people who care, and we’re fortunate to have a great team. Thank you all! 💚⛳

It would be easy to think this job is about range balls, bag stands, tee times, and carts.

But it isn’t.

It’s about people.

It’s about connection.

This is Anders.

Last night, he threw his final game on the 320 field. As the starting pitcher, he helped lead his team to a win and earn a trip to the State Tournament next week at Post 22.

And this morning at 6:00 a.m., he was right back at Meadowbrook with a smile on his face, taking care of our early morning regulars.

That’s the kind of young man he is.

Moments like this remind me that golf courses aren’t just places to play golf. They’re places where young people grow, where friendships are built, and where we get the privilege of cheering each other on—both on and off the course.

Congratulations, Anders. We’re all proud of you and will be cheering you on next week at the State Tournament.

Go make some memories. ⚾️⛳️
