The Belt Squat is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment at Laramie Fitness. While its primary purpose is obvious—belt squats allow you to train the squat hard without placing a bar and its load directly on the spine—there’s a lot more you can do with this machine.
As Amanda, Hally, and Ian demonstrate, changing the setup completely changes the movement. Use it for belt squats to hammer the lower body, RDLs to put constant tension on the glutes and hamstrings, or even dips for a challenging upper-body strength movement.
Three very different exercises. One piece of equipment. Don’t be afraid to think beyond what a machine was originally designed to do.
