Planning is underway for Drug Store 2026!

The Drug Store 2026 Committee is preparing for this year’s drug awareness and prevention program for 5th and 6th grade students from Ponca City and surrounding area schools.

📅 October 26-29, 2026
📍 Connect Church

Drug Store gives students a realistic look at the consequences of drug use through scenarios involving arrest, court proceedings, overdose, emergency room treatment, and a funeral. Students also hear from individuals whose lives have been directly impacted by drug use.

In 2024, more than 200 volunteers helped bring the program to over 1,500 students. This year, local volunteers, businesses, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, educators, and community partners will come together again to make the program possible.

🥧 Y’ALL READY FOR THIS? 🥧

It’s BACK!

United Way of North Central Oklahoma’s 2nd Annual Pie in the Face Contest is returning this October, and we’ve found SIX brave community members willing to put their faces on the line for a good cause! 😂

We’re not telling you who they are just yet... 👀

Starting October 1, we’ll reveal our contestants one by one. You might recognize a friend, a neighbor, a coworker, or someone you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to hit with a pie. 😏🥧

Then, on October 14, the real fun begins!

Here’s the catch:

🥇 Raise the MOST money? You get pied!
😬 Raise the LEAST money? You get pied too!

Everyone else is fighting for that sweet, sweet SAFE ZONE.

It’s all in good fun, all for a great cause, and all to support the work of United Way of North Central Oklahoma right here in our communities. ❤️

❤️🔨 WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEER TEAMS FOR DAY OF CARING! 🔨❤️

Day of Caring is almost here, and we still have FOUR projects that need volunteer teams!

Grab your coworkers, friends, family, church group, civic organization, or community team and help us make a difference!

📍 SRN
Projects include securing the dog fence, installing an in-ground dog waste disposal system, cleaning and painting the playhouse, painting parking lot lines, anchoring the playground, installing an outside deck fan, repairing a shed leak, and removing or cutting down boxwoods.

📍 PEACHTREE
Projects include cleaning out the drainage ditch, finishing mudding around an office door, cleaning up the Memorial Garden, caulking tubs, replacing can lights, hanging exit signs, replacing ceiling tiles and insulation, and building a wall in the landing area.

📍 CAMP McFADDEN
Projects include painting the inside of two Ambuc cabins, possible wall repairs, painting the inside of six red cabins, and weeding flower beds around the lodge, office, and Nature Center.

📍 HABITAT RESTORE
The ReStore recently experienced significant water damage due to roof leaks. Volunteers are needed to help with extensive cleaning, organizing, and restoration to help get the store back in shape.
